Unlabelled: The pathogenesis of immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) is complex and involves the dysregulation of immune cells, such as T and B lymphocytes, and several cytokines that promote the production of autoantibodies. In the context of cancer patients, ITP can occur in both primary and secondary forms related to anticancer therapies or the disease itself.
Objective: In light of these data, we decided to prepare a literature review that will explain the classification and immunological determinants of the pathogenesis of ITP and present the clinical implications of this condition, especially in patients with cancer.
: The aim of this study was to determine the assessment of the percentage of NK and NKT-like cells expressing Toll-like receptors (TLR-2, TLR-3, TLR-4, and TLR-9) in patients with gastric cancer (GC) compared with healthy volunteers (HV) and to investigate differences according to cancer subtype. We also assessed TLR gene expression by RT-qPCR to assess whether TLRs could be diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers. : The study included 86 patients with histologically confirmed gastric cancer and 30 healthy volunteers.

In gastric cancer (GC), TLR2, TLR3, TLR4, and TLR9 are crucial for modulating immune response and tumor progression. (2) Objective: This study aimed to assess the percentage of dendritic cells and monocytes expressing TLR2, TLR3, TLR4, and TLR9, along with the concentration of their soluble forms in the serum of GC patients compared to healthy volunteers.

It also cleanses cells from inclusions, including pathogenic viruses, and provides energy-forming components. The liver, which is an organ with increased metabolism, is made up of cells that are particularly vulnerable to damage.

Research suggests that TLRs may also have a significant impact on the development and progression of cancers, including gastric cancer (GC). Understanding the role of individual TLRs in the immunopathogenesis of gastric cancer may provide new information necessary to develop more effective diagnostic and therapeutic methods.

Effective regeneration of bone defects resulting from peri-implantitis is crucial to maintaining the functionality of dental implants. The study aimed to compare the effectiveness of fine-particle dentin and Bio-Oss in the reconstruction of bone defects caused by peri-implantitis.

In recent years, attention has been paid to potential relationships between periodontitis and various hematological disorders. This publication aims to present information available in the literature on this relationship, focusing on examples of red blood cell disorders (such as aplastic anemia and sickle cell anemia) and white blood cell disorders (such as cyclic neutropenia, maladaptive trained immunity, clonal hematopoiesis, leukemia, and multiple myeloma).

A retrospective study included all patients consecutively admitted to the SU between March 15 and May 31, 2020 ("first wave"), and between September 15 and November 30, 2020 ("second wave"). We compared demographic and clinical data, treatments, and outcomes of patients between the first and the second waves of the pandemic and between subjects with and without COVID-19.

Thus, we aimed to evaluate treatment rate and factors associated with outcome and safety of intravenous thrombolysis (IVT) in rural residents aged ≥80 years admitted to primary stroke centers.
Patients And Methods: This study was a retrospective, observational cohort study of 873 patients treated with recombinant tissue plasminogen activator (rt-PA) in primary stroke centers between February 1, 2009 and December 31, 2017.

Introduction: Cerebrovascular diseases in Poland constitute a bigger threat to life in men than in women, especially after the age of 60. Death rates indicate higher stroke over-mortality in the rural population rather than the urban. At the same time, stroke is the main cause of long-term disability, since half of the patients are unable to independently perform daily activities, which makes them dependent on other people.

Introduction And Objective: Injuries are a serious medical and social problem, especially when accompanied by distant or deferred effects, often causing serious dysfunctions and permanent disability for life. The study aimed at presenting the incidence of injuries of urban and rural population treated in a district hospital in eastern Poland.
Material And Methods: The study was carried out in the Independent Public Health Care Institution in Kraśnik in 2011 among patients hospitalized in the Department of Trauma Surgery and Orthopedic Unit who sustained injuries.

The aim of the paper is to present the triple therapy results combined with the application of proton pump inhibitors with amoxicillin and tynidazole in treatment of the contagion caused by Helicobacter pylori. The therapy was carried out among 108 people after realization of endoscopic biopsy and with quick urease test. In the endoscopic investigation 72 people were found to have duodenum ulceration.

The main objective of this paper was to present the view on the vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and basis fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) in the angiogenesis in the colorectal career. The analysis includes the works of these scientists, who proved the relationship between VEGF and bFGF expression and the advancement level of colorectal cancer and the survival of the patients ill with this disease. It was stated that the highest levels of these factors were connected with the advancement of neoplastic process, especially when metastases coexisted at the same time.
