Introduction. We report a case of ossification of the interosseous membrane (OIM) of the leg in a football player who had no history of severe local traumas. A review of the literature of the OIM of the leg in athletes was also carried out.

In this study, we aimed to understand if a better compression between the coracoid process and the glenoid, using a mini-plate fixation during the Latarjet procedure, could reduce the amount of coracoid graft osteolysis.
Materials And Methods: A computed tomography scan analysis of 26 prospectively followed-up patients was conducted after modified Latarjet procedure using mini-plate fixation technique to determine both the location and the amount of coracoid graft osteolysis in them.
Purpose: To determine the preliminary feasibility, safety, and clinical efficacy of magnetic resonance (MR)-guided focused ultrasound for the treatment of painful osteoid osteoma.
Materials And Methods: This prospective institutional review board-approved study involved six consecutive patients (five males and one female; mean age, 21 years) with a diagnosis of osteoid osteoma based on clinical and imaging findings. All patients underwent MR-guided focused ultrasound ablation after providing informed consent.
The authors conducted a retrospective study on 23 patients (12 females and 11 males) with low-grade intramedullary chondrosarcoma of a long bone, treated with intralesional curettage, phenolization and cementation. The use of phenol was supported by an in vitro study, the use of bone cement by clinical studies. A consensus has been growing that this type of tumours should be treated less aggressively.

Procedures: Specimens of 5-20 mg MNPs were washed with saline-isotonic solution and recuperated by magnetic decantation; 15-58 μg Cu(2+) (CuCl(2)·H(2)O) in 50 μl of acidified (pH 5.5) saline solution was added to the MNPs re-suspended saline-isotonic solution; 10 mg MNPs was allowed to react with 16 μg (64)Cu [(64)Ni(p,n) at 12-9 MeV] followed by anion exchange chromatography with a specific activity of 56 MBq/μg.

Chondromyxoid fibromas account for <1% of primary bone neoplasms. We report one such case occurring in the distal fibula of a 27-year-old woman. The patient underwent curettage, followed by phenolisation, insertion of a Steinmann pin, and cementation.

The aim of the current study was to find an easy-to-detect clinical marker of insulin resistance which can be used to identify young subjects at increased risk of cardiovascular disease.
Methods And Results: Four-hundred and seventy-seven overweight/obese children and adolescents (mean age 10.
Background: The Latarjet procedure has been advocated as an option for the treatment of anteroinferior shoulder instability in certain patients. However, progression of the transferred coracoid bone graft to osteolysis has been reported in the literature. We propose that the coracoid bone graft osteolysis could be one of the causes of failure of the Latarjet procedure.

X-ray examination demonstrated a periosteal reaction, confirmed by a MRI showing a soft tissue mass adjacent to bone. We performed an incisional biopsy and made a diagnosis of haemangioma only after examining the histological results.
