Using event-driven computer simulations, we test a predictive resource allocation scheme for broadband wireless communications systems based on the Kalman Filter. We implemented the filter in six different scheduling algorithms and selected the best performing of them (EXP Rule and FLS) for a detailed analysis. We considered several simulation scenarios with velocities ranging from 0 to 350 km/h representing pedestrian, vehicular and high-speed train scenarios.

The video traffic generated by the cameras can be analyzed to provide useful insights for the transportation segment. This paper presents the development of an intelligent vehicle identification system based on optical character recognition (OCR) method to be used on intelligent transportation systems.

Methods: 681 Brazilian students (50.5% female) aged 10 to 17 years participated in this cross-sectional study.
Objective: This study was aimed at analysing the association between socioeconomic indicators and adolescents' physical activity and health-related fitness.
Methods: The study involved 716 adolescents from both genders whose age ranged from 10 to 18 years-old (46.8% male) who answered a questionnaire for estimating their habitual physical activity, socioeconomic status; two health-related physical fitness tests were also performed.
The objective of this study was to describe the semantic and conceptual equivalences of the National College Health Assessment II (NCHA II). The original version of the NCHA II was translated into Portuguese and back-translated into English. A committee of experts analyzed the different versions of the questionnaire.

Methods: A prospective cohort study was conducted analyzing outcomes from 56 women with pregestational and 82 with gestational diabetes treated with either insulin regimen.
The purpose of this study was to provide an atlas of the normal anatomy of the canine abdomen using helical computed tomographic (CT) images of the abdomen in four mature cross-breed dogs. The dogs were supported in sternal recumbency under general anaesthesia and scans were performed with 5 mm collimation and a pitch of 1. All sections were imaged with soft-tissue window settings and the cranial abdomen was also imaged with mediastinum-vascular window settings.
