Introduction And Objective: Subtalar arthroereisis is a procedure commonly performed in children with flat feet. The procedure is performed when conservative treatment did not have the desired effect,or when the patient's abnormal symptoms are very severe and make it difficult for them to function normally in daily life. The aim of this study was to assess whether subtalar arthroereisis and physiotherapy improve the quality of life among children with flat feet.

Unlabelled: The study attempts to analyse whether the COVID-19 pandemic affected the incidence of forearm, arm, and hip fractures during a 1-year observation period. Additionally, changes in the overall treatment costs of those fractures were estimated. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the incidence of forearm, arm, and hip fractures remained statistically unchanged, neither were any significant changes observed in the expenditure, incurred for the treatment of the fracture cases.

Synopsis of recent research by authors named "Marcin Hajzyk"

  • - Marcin Hajzyk's recent research focuses on orthopedic outcomes in children and the impact of external factors, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, on fracture incidence and treatment costs.
  • - One of his studies on subtalar arthroereisis in children indicates that the procedure, combined with physiotherapy, has a positive effect on the quality of life for those with flat feet.
  • - In his investigation of fracture incidents during the COVID-19 pandemic, Hajzyk found that the rates of osteoporotic forearm, arm, and hip fractures remained statistically unchanged over a one-year period, highlighting the pandemic's limited impact on orthopedic injury rates.
