Background: Aedes aegypti is currently controlled with synthetic larvicides; however, mosquitoes have become highly resistant to these larvicides and difficult to eradicate. Studies have shown that insecticides derived from fungal extracts have various mechanisms of action that reduce the risk of resistance in these mosquitoes. One possible mechanism is uncontrolled production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in the larvae, which can cause changes at the cellular level.

,-amyrenone (ABAME) is a triterpene derivative with many biological activities; however, its potential pharmacological use is hindered by its low solubility in water. In this context, the present work aimed to develop inclusion complexes (ICs) of ABAME with - and -cyclodextrins (CD), which were systematically characterized through molecular modeling studies as well as FTIR, XRD, DSC, TGA, and SEM analyses. In vitro analyses of lipase activity were performed to evaluate possible anti-obesity properties.

Neurodegenerative diseases affect millions of people worldwide. Regardless of the underlying cause, neuroinflammation is the greatest risk factor for developing any of these disorders. Pectolinarigenin (PNG) is an active flavonoid with several biological properties, anti-metastatic and anti-inflammatory activity.

The aim of this study was to investigate the medicinal potential of carbazole and -carboline alkaloids and derivatives against and .
Methods: MICs were established in accordance with the recommendations of the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute for alkaloids and derivatives against and genotypes VNI and VGI, respectively.
Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate the hypoglycemic effect, antioxidant, α-glucosidase and lipase inhibitory activity, and the cytotoxicity of the nanodispersion (CgND).
Methods: The hypoglycemic effect was evaluated in alloxan-induced diabetic mice. The particle size, polydispersion index, ζ-potential, and conductivity, as well as the drug-loaded content, were monitored in shelf-live, along a year.
