Nitrogen-limiting condition is essential for citric acid production by Yarrowia lipolytica. Mitochondrial protein expression profiles of Y. lipolytica IMUFRJ 50,682 cells cultivated in biomass proliferation medium (YPG medium, yeast extract, peptone and glycerol) and citric acid production medium (CA medium) were analyzed to identify differences in expressed proteins in response to medium composition.

Probing the Site-Selective Doping in SrSnO:Eu Oxides and Its Impact on the Crystal and Electronic Structures Using Synchrotron Radiation and DFT Simulations.

The impact of Eu doping at the Sr and Sn sites in SrSnO on its structural and electronic properties was studied and correlated with the photocatalytic efficiency. The compounds were synthesized using a modified Pechini method. Refinement of the synchrotron X-ray diffraction (S-XRD) data showed that the samples had an orthorhombic symmetry.

Protective factors in mature human milk: a look into the proteome and peptidome of adolescent mothers' breast milk.

The characterisation of proteome and peptidome of adolescent mothers' breast milk brings important information to both mother's and infant's health; however, it has not been investigated. Bioactive peptides derived from milk proteins have numerous functions. The bioactivity of breast milk peptides includes anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial activities and regulation of gastrointestinal function.

Host-Bacterial Interactions in Post-treatment Apical Periodontitis: A Metaproteome Analysis.

Introduction: This study evaluated the bacterial and human metaproteome of root apexes and the matched inflammatory lesions from teeth with post-treatment apical periodontitis.

Methods: Root apexes and matched inflammatory lesions from root canal-treated teeth with apical periodontitis were obtained during periradicular surgery. All root canal fillings were rated as adequate on the basis of radiographs and cone-beam computed tomography.

Metaproteome analysis of endodontic infections in association with different clinical conditions.

Analysis of the metaproteome of microbial communities is important to provide an insight of community physiology and pathogenicity. This study evaluated the metaproteome of endodontic infections associated with acute apical abscesses and asymptomatic apical periodontitis lesions. Proteins persisting or expressed after root canal treatment were also evaluated.
