Objective: To analyze the role of Family Health Strategy (FHS) nurses in the health care of LGBT+ individuals.
Methods: This qualitative study is based on Institutional Analysis. Data was collected in August 2021 through semi-structured interviews with 14 Family Health Strategy nurses from municipalities in the state of São Paulo.
This was a reflective theoretical essay that was based on the national and international literature. The goal was to analyze the interfaces and historical-conceptual distinctions between permanent education in health and interprofessional education in health. In the international context, there have been educational movements aimed at health workers with an emphasis on the incentives of the Pan-American Health Organization.

Method: Qualitative research with the use of official documents and semi-structured interviews with the Municipal Health Secretaries or Coordinators of Primary Health Care in the Northeast Region of São Paulo State, and thematic analysis of empirical material.
Results: Results indicate difficulties in the municipalities problematizing their management practices, services and health care; EPS tools presented are insufficient and unsatisfactory for amending the array of problems raised and are still far from the routine of Primary Care services.

This study uses a qualitative approach based on semi-structured interview for analyzing the social control perspective of health counselors, considering that there are still challenges for the consolidation of community participation. It was identified that some counselors do not recognize the social participation as a Single Health System directive. Despite the recognition of the councils as deliberative spaces, there are difficulties such as the centralization of decisions in the management, an over evaluation of technical knowledge and lack of health conferences.

Its scientific production is reknown but is yet to strengthen its position. Among the strategies to be used, we can emphasize: study different ways to promote a closer relationship between university and services; create or intensify interfacing between clinical and academic nurses; promote strategic research for the use of technological innovations, continuing education of human resources, and implement studies on Nursing care while integrating skills required by complex technological systems and intersubjectivity, acting in a therapeutic way.
