Factors associated with interprofessional collaboration in Primary Health Care: a multilevel analysis.

Working with an interprofessional focus is increasingly necessary, in view of the growing complexity of the population's health needs. This study aims to assess interprofessional collaboration and the teamwork climate in primary health care (PHC) and determine whether there is a relationship between these two variables. The AITCS-II instrument was used to measure interprofessional collaboration, while to diagnose teamwork climate, the ECTE instrument was used, a version adapted to the SUS context of the Teamwork Climate Inventory instrument.

Characterization and analysis of the proposals submitted to the PET-Health Interprofessionality in Brazil: advancements and future directions.

The Program of Education through Work for Health (PET-Health), with a focus on interprofessionality, is one of the actions of the Plan for the Strengthening of Interprofessional Education in Brazil. This research aimed to systematically analyze the characteristics of the proposals submitted to the public notice of the PET-Health Interprofessionality specifically in relation to the theoretical-conceptual and methodological alignment of interprofessional education (IPE). The study is a qualitative document content analysis.

Which factors influenced the adoption of interprofessionality in health based on the reports of the PET-Health Interprofessionality projects in Brazil? A document analysis.

The Program of Education through Work - Health (PET-Health) Interprofessionality is one of the strategic actions of the "Plan for the Strengthening of Interprofessionality" in healthcare in Brazil. Based on the experience of the program, this paperexamines the aspects that impact the adoption and strengthening of interprofessional education and collaborative practices, and issues recommendations for the strengthening of interprofessionality as a guiding principle of training and working in healthcare. This is a document analysis of partial reports from the six- and 12-months of execution of 120 PET-Health Interprofessionality projects in Brazil.

Interprofessional work in health in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic: a scoping review.

Objective: to map the scientific production on interprofessional relationships in health in the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Method: this is a scoping review performed in PubMed, Scopus, LILACS, CINAHL, Web of Science, Google Scholar and Science Direct databases, covering the period of publication in 2020, using the acronym PCC (Population = health professionals; Concept = interprofessional relationships; Context = health services) and respective search strategies.

Results: fourteen scientific articles were selected and the content discussed in the manuscripts was standardized, analyzed and organized into categories of affinities and similarities of their results: 1 - Interprofessional collaboration; 2 - Collaborative practice; 3 - Interprofessional work; 4 - Interactive and interprofessional learning.

Dimensions of interprofessional collaboration in the dynamics of the expanded family health and primary care centers: A qualitative study.

Primary health care (PHC) in Brazil is based on Family Health Strategy (FHS) teams. These teams are supported by Expanded Family Health and Primary Care Centers (Nuclei) (NASF-AB) whose services are backbone elements for comprehensive health care within PHC. NASF-AB encompass several professional groups that aim to increase the responsiveness and scope of actions of the FHS teams.

The effectiveness of faculty development activities for interprofessional education : A systematic review protocol.

Despite increasing international demand for interprofessional education (IPE) in health care, there remains limited understanding of the kind of faculty development (FD) activities needed. This paper reports on a protocol for a systematic review to answer the question: What are the available FD activities for IPE facilitators, and which are more effective? The review aims to identify principles and methods to develop competent facilitators in IPE and to identify the implications and effects of FD for IPE concerning individuals, organizations, education, and health practice. Literature was identified through systematic searches in the electronic databases: MEDLINE (Ovid), Embase (Ovid), Eric (EBSCO), CINAHL (EBSCO), Scopus, and Web of Science.

Interprofessional education in the Dentistry curriculum: Analysis of a teaching-service-community integration experience.

Introduction: Interprofessional education (IPE) offers relevant theoretical, conceptual and methodological approaches to the development of effective teamwork competencies.

Objective: To analyse an interprofessional experience of teaching-service-community integration carried out at a public university in the South of Brazil.

Methods: A case study with a qualitative approach was carried out.

Perception and manifestation of collaborative competencies among undergraduate health students.

Objective: to analyze the perception and manifestation of collaborative teamwork competencies among undergraduate health students who experienced the curricular internship's integration module from the perspective of interprofessional education.

Method: qualitative study, developed with the intervention research strategy. Twenty-eight students from five undergraduate health courses participated.

Attitudes towards interprofessional collaboration of Primary Care teams participating in the 'More Doctors' (Mais Médicos) program.

Objectives: to compare the attitudes regarding interprofessional collaboration of health professionals that make up the Family Health Strategy teams participating in the 'More Doctors' (Mais Médicos) program; and to identify factors associated with attitudes of interprofessional collaboration.

Method: a descriptive, transversal and comparative study developed with 63 health professionals who responded to the Jefferson Scale of Attitudes Toward Interprofessional Collaboration. The data were statistically analyzed.

New national curricula guidelines that support the use of interprofessional education in the Brazilian context: An analysis of key documents.

The National Curricular Guidelines (NCGs) are important documents for understanding the history of academic health professions education in Brazil. Key policies within the NCGs have helped to reorient health professions education and have stimulated curricular changes, including active learning methodologies and more integrated teaching-service environments, and, more recently, have introduced interprofessional education (IPE) in both undergraduate and postgraduate sectors. This article presents the findings of a study that examined the NCGs for nursing, dentistry, and medicine courses as juridical foundations for adopting strategies that promote IPE across higher education institutions in Brazil.

Interprofessional education as an approach for reforming health professions education in Brazil: emerging findings.

Interprofessional education (IPE) is an important issue to insert in the debate on the reform of the education of health professions in Brazil. This paper provides details on an emerging study, based in Brazil, whose aim is to explore the use of IPE as a strategy to reform health professional education to become more collaborative in nature. The study has adopted a sequential mixed-methods approach, and will conduct focus groups, individual interviews and surveys with students, teachers and administrators based in two universities.
