Background: The evidence available in the literature on the administration and safety of the yellow fever vaccine in patients with egg allergy is limited.

Objective: We sought to describe the administration of yellow fever vaccine in children with suspected egg allergy using a simplified protocol.

Methods: Children referred to the service from February 2018 to January 2020 with a history of possible egg allergy were classified as probably egg-allergic or not on the basis of history and specific IgE testing.

Ki-67 has shown promise as a prognostic factor in pulmonary carcinoids. In this study, we sought to validate the importance of Ki-67 and study the relationships between Ki-67 and other stromal biomarkers of vascular density. We examined Ki-67, CD34, and D2-40 in tumor tissues from 128 patients with surgically excised typical carcinoid of the lung.

Context: Traditionally, acromegaly is viewed as a disease resulting from GH hypersecretion from an autonomous pituitary somatotropinoma.

Objective: To test the hypothesis that GH secretion in acromegaly is still subjected to normal hypothalamic control, we studied the daily rhythmicity of GH secretion in normal controls and patients with newly diagnosed, untreated acromegaly.

Design And Setting: This was an observational inpatient study in the General Clinical Research Center at the University of Michigan.

Objectives: To investigate the associations between changes in indicators of health-related resources and coverage, and variations in infant mortality rates (IMR) in Brazil's 27 states in 2000 and 2005.

Methods: Data were obtained from the Ministry of Health's online database, DATASUS. Stepwise multiple regressions were performed to model changes in IMR and its components (early, late, and post-neonatal mortality), using changes in the selected health indicators as predictors.

Methods: Forty five male adult rabbits varying between 24 and 28 weeks of age with the starting average weight of 2,362 grams were randomly distributed into five groups, according to their respective type of feeding. Two animals died in each group due to different complications.

Background: It has been suggested that obesity is associated with an altered rate of gastric emptying. The objective of the present study was to determine whether the rates of solid and semi-solid gastric emptying differ between morbidly obese patients and lean subjects.

Methods: The Gastric-emptying time (GET) of solid and semi-solid meals were compared between lean healthy subjects and morbidly obese patients enrolled in two previously published studies.

Renal histological features of focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) are found in 75% of pediatric patients with steroid-resistant nephrotic syndrome. In order to evaluate the predictive factors of chronic kidney disease (CKD), we retrospectively reviewed the records of 110 children with biopsy-proven FSGS admitted between 1972 and 2004. Renal survival was analyzed by the Kaplan-Meier method and Cox's regression model.
