Percutaneous radiofrequency ablation on a Xp11.2 Translocation Renal Cell Carcinoma: A case report.

Xp11.2 Translocation Renal Cell Carcinoma is a very rare subtype of renal neoplasm. The present report describes the first confirmed reported case of percutaneous ablation of this subtype of tumor.

Magnetic Resonance-Guided High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound Ablation of Osteoid Osteoma: A Case Series Report.

Osteoid osteoma is painful benign tumor. The aim of this study was to report our initial experience using magnetic resonance-guided focused ultrasound to treat osteoid osteomas. This retrospective single-center study included four patients treated with magnetic resonance-guided focused ultrasound.

Radiofrequency ablation for treatment of hypersplenism: A feasible therapeutic option.

We present a case of a patient with hypersplenism secondary to portal hypertension due to hepato-splenic schistosomiasis, which was accompanied by severe and refractory thrombocytopenia. We performed spleen ablation and measured the total spleen and ablated volumes with contrast-enhanced computed tomography and volumetry. No major complications occurred, thrombocytopenia was resolved, and platelet levels remained stable, which allowed for early treatment of the patient's underlying disease.

[Prevalence of HPV 16, 18, 45 and 31 in women with cervical lesions].

Purpose: To determine the prevalence of HPV 16, 18, 31 and 45 in cervical screening samples of women with cellular changes and/or colposcopy suggestive of persistent high grade or low grade lesion who were submitted to conization.

Methods: A total of 120 women were included in the study. Histological analysis of the cervical cones revealed 7 cases of cervicitis, 22 of CIN1, 31 of CIN2, 54 of CIN3, and 6 invasive carcinomas.
