Objectives: To assess the impact of F-FDG-PET/CT on the diagnosis and management of patients with Staphylococcus aureus bacteraemia (SAB).

Within this work we will show the results carried out in performing CTQ in Spain.
Materials And Methods: We set up, under the auspices of Grupo Español de Linfomas/Trasplante Autólogo de Médula Osea (GELTAMO), a CTQ program consisting of the acquisition and analysis of 18F uniformity and image quality phantoms for the reduction of inter-scanner variability (ISV).
Purpose: We analyzed the utility of cell-free DNA (cfDNA) in a prospective population-based cohort to determine the mutational profile, assess tumor burden, and estimate its impact in response rate and outcome in patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL).
Experimental Design: A total of 100 patients were diagnosed with DLBCL during the study period. Mutational status of 112 genes was studied in cfDNA by targeted next-generation sequencing.
The levels of cell free circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) in plasma correlated with treatment response and outcome in systemic lymphomas. Notably, in brain tumors, the levels of ctDNA in the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) are higher than in plasma. Nevertheless, their role in central nervous system (CNS) lymphomas remains elusive.

Methods: Nine neuroleptic-naive patients with first-episode schizophrenia (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual for Mental Disorders-IV criteria) with prominent AVH underwent three PET scans using F-fluordeoxyglucose (FDG): (i) shortly after presentation, while experiencing prominent and frequent AVH; (ii) after medication-induced remission (R), using a stable dose of risperidone; (iii) also in remission, during bilateral linguistic auditory activation (LAA) induced by spoken text mimicking the content of the hallucinations experienced while the first PET was performed, using headphones. PET scans were acquired using an Advanced-Nxi Scanner (GE Healthcare).
Purpose: Retrospectively analysed our experience in Renal Cell carcinoma (RCC) patients studied with 18-Fluorodeoxyglucose Positron Emission Tomography (FDG PET) to rule out the incidence and clinical impact of heart metastases.
Material And Methods: In two years, 37 patients with RCC were studied with FDG PET. 10 were studied for initial staging and 27 patients were evaluated for suspected recurrence or re-staging.
Background: The relationship between the visual scores for wall motion (WM) and wall thickening (WT) of different left ventricular regions in patients with anterior and infero-lateral myocardial infarctions was evaluated using gated SPECT.
Methods: Ninety consecutive patients (79 men and 11 women; mean age 56 +/- 9 years) with previous myocardial infarction (33 anterior and 57 infero-lateral) were included. Left ventricular volumes and ejection fractions (EFs) were calculated from quantitative rest gated SPECT 99mTc tetrofosmin images by using the QGS automatic algorithm.
Background: A criticism of using nebulized amphotericin B (nAB) as prophylaxis against Aspergillus infection after lung transplantation is the lack of knowledge of its pharmacokinetics and distribution in the lung. The aim of this study was to ascertain the concentrations and distribution of nAB in the respiratory tract of patients receiving lung transplantations.
Methods: In the drug-concentration study, 120 bronchoscopies were performed in 39 patients receiving lung transplantions after administration of 6 mg of nAB once daily for a minimum of 7 days.
Introduction And Objectives: Systolic function and myocardial perfusion are evaluated before hospital discharge and can change during follow-up. The purpose of this study was to evaluate these parameters by gated-SPECT in the first year after acute myocardial infarction.
Patients And Method: We studied 74 consecutive patients with a first uncomplicated acute myocardial infarction (49 infero-lateral and 25 anterior) by stress-rest 99mTc-tetrofosmin and rest-gated-SPECT before hospital discharge (6-8 days after admission) and one year after myocardial infarction.
