The amplitude modulation of a pump field and the phase-sensitive detection of a pump-induced intensity change of a probe field encompass a common practice in nonlinear spectroscopies to enhance the detection sensitivity. A drawback of this approach arises when the modulation frequency is comparable to the width of the spectral feature of interest, since the presence of sidebands in the amplitude-modulated pump field provides distortion to the observed spectral lineshape. This represents a problem when accurate measurements of spectral lineshapes and line positions are pursued, as recently happened in our group with the metrology of the Q(1) line in the 1-0 band of molecular hydrogen.

This study reports the synthesis of a new series of pyrazole-isoxazolines, at very good yields, from the cyclocondensation reaction of pyrazole-enaminones with hydroxylamine hydrochloride. Dehydration of the pyrazole-isoxazolines furnished another new series of the respective pyrazole-isoxazoles, at excellent yields. Both series of the obtained compounds were screened for antimycobacterial activity, and compounds 4 f and 5 c showed significant inhibition of bacterial growth with a time- and concentration-dependent bactericidal effect.

We present chemical kinetics and environmental monitoring applications in the long-wavelength mid-infrared (LW-MIR) region using a new diagnostic that exploits a widely tunable light source emitting in the LW-MIR. The custom-designed laser source is based on a difference-frequency generation (DFG) process in a nonlinear orientation-patterned GaAs crystal. Background: OnabotulinumtoxinA (BTX-A) and anti-calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) monoclonal antibodies (anti-CGRP mAbs) are approved drugs for chronic migraine (CM), a difficult-to-treat condition. Optimization of CM patient management by choosing the best options and determining appropriate time for switching or adding concomitant treatments are highly needed.

Objective: Evaluate clinical response to anti-CGRP mAbs in patients who switched from BTX-A due to ineffectiveness defined by different cut-offs and assess the retention rate, effectiveness, and safety of both drugs within the first 9 months of treatment.

Purpose: We compared the diagnostic yield of fetal clinical exome sequencing (fCES) in prospective and retrospective cohorts of pregnancies presenting with anomalies detected using ultrasound. The nociceptin/orphanin FQ (N/OFQ)/N/OFQ receptor (NOP) system controls different biological functions including pain and cough reflex.
