Type-3 effectors (T3E) of phytopathogenic Gram-negative bacteria fulfill a virulent role, causing disease, or an avirulent role, inducing immunity, following their translocation into plant cells. This study aimed to validate the hypothesis that bacterial T3E translocation requires lipidic compounds in plant cell membranes. Based on genetic, molecular, and biochemical assays, we determined that phosphatidylinositol 4-phosphate (PI4P) associated with plant cell membranes is essential for the translocation of T3E by bacterial pathogens.

It is more likely that a long-term survivor will have both cardiovascular disease and cancer on account of the progress in cancer therapy. Cardiotoxicity is a well-recognized and highly concerning adverse effect of cancer therapies. This side effect can manifest in a proportion of cancer patients and may lead to the discontinuation of potentially life-saving anticancer treatment regimens.

Background: Lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) is one of the most common types of cancer worldwide with high incidence and mortality rates. The integrator complex subunit 7 (INTS7) encodes a subunit of the integrator complex that mediates small-nuclear ribonucleic acid (RNA) processing and has been shown to be associated with RNA polymerase II. However, the clinical significance of INTS7 in LUAD is still not clear and needs to be investigated.

Context: Dexamethasone is the major drug in the treatment of ulcerative colitis (UC). However, the extensive or long-time use of dexamethasone causes many toxic side-effects. Ion exchange resins react with external-ions through their own functional groups and Eudragit S occurs degradation when pH > 7.

This study was aimed to observe and analyze the effectiveness of platelet transfusion. The platelet count of 1786 patients before transfusion and on 20-24 hours after transfusion was determined by using Auto-Hematology Analyzer, the percent platelet recovery (PPR) was calculated, the platelet transfusion efficiency (PTE) was evaluated by PPR and hemorrhage presentation after platelet transfusion, and the PTE was statistically analyzed according to disease cause, transfusion frequency, platelet type and once transfusion amount. The results showed that the total PTE of 1786 patients was 52.
