Metastasis of clear cell renal cell carcinoma to hyalinizing trabecular tumor of the thyroid: A case report.

Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is the most common malignancy that metastasizes to the thyroid; however, metastasis of RCC to a primary tumor of the thyroid is rare. The present study reports the case of RCC that had metastasized to the primary thyroid tumor; namely, a hyalinizing trabecular tumor (HTT). Notably, the RCC was resected 2 years prior.

Comparative Efficacy and Safety of Anti-PD-1/PD-L1 for the Treatment of Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer: A Network Meta-Analysis of 13 Randomized Controlled Studies.

Objective: The present network meta-analysis (NMA) was conducted to summarize the direct and indirect evidence of common programmed cell death 1 (PD-1)/programmed cell death ligand 1 (PD-L1) inhibitors including avelumab, atezolizumab, cemiplimab, nivolumab, and pembrolizumab for the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients and further to determine the optimal therapeutic regimen.

Methods: We performed a systematic literature search to identify all potentially eligible studies in PubMed, Embase, and the Cochrane Library until August 7, 2021. The primary outcome was overall survival (OS), and the second outcome was treatment-related adverse events (TRAEs).

Identification of miR-4510 as a metastasis suppressor of gastric cancer through regulation of tumor microenvironment via targeting GPC3.

The genes miR-4510 and glypican-3 (GPC3) have reported to be closely associated with tumors, with miR-4510 inversely correlated with GPC3 mRNA and protein in hepatocellular carcinoma samples. Glypican-3-expressing gastric cancer (GPC3-GC), characterized as gastric cancer (GC) expressing GPC3, accounts for 11% of the GC cases. However, the expression and mechanism of action of miR-4510 in GPC3-GC have not been clearly defined.

The Tumor-Associated Macrophage-M2-Cancer Cell Complex and the Observation of Heterogeneous Modification of the Morphological Structure of Lung Adenocarcinoma.

Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of the tumor-associated macrophage-m2-cancer cell complex (TAM-M2-CC) on the heterostructural modification of lung adenocarcinoma.

Methods: The expression of CD163+/CD68+ in macrophages in the microenvironment of 161 cases of lung adenocarcinoma was identified by dual immunohistochemistry, and the association between a TAM-M2-CC and its growth, as well as the histological changes in lung adenocarcinoma cells, was assessed.

Results: The morphological change of lung adenocarcinoma was related to the number of m2 phenotypes of the macrophages in the microenvironment of lung adenocarcinoma.

Circ_0074027 Contributes to Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer Progression by Upregulating Expression Through miR-335-5p.

Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are crucial regulators in human cancers, including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). In this study, we explore the biological functions and molecular mechanisms of circ_0074027 in NSCLC. Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) was employed to determine the expression of circ_0074027, paired like homeodomain 1 () mRNA, microRNA-335-5p (miR-335-5p), and cullin 4B () mRNA.

Incomplete Intestinal Obstruction Caused by a Rare Epithelioid Inflammatory Myofibroblastic Sarcoma of the Colon: A Case Report.

We reported on 1 case of epithelioid inflammatory myofibroblastic sarcoma (EIMS) that occurred in the colon and resulted in an incomplete intestinal obstruction.A 65-year-old male patient presented with abdominal pain without any obvious predisposing cause. He reported a paroxysmal dull pain.

A rare stroma-rich variant of hyaline-vascular Castleman's disease associated with calcifying fibrous pseudotumor.

Objectives: The stroma-rich variant of hyaline-vascular type of Castleman's disease (SR-HVCD) should be differentiated from vascular or follicular dendritic reticulum cell neoplasms. In this paper, we present a rare case of HVCD. We also suspect a possible association between SR-HVCD and calcifying fibrous pseudotumor.
