Work ability among nursing personnel in public hospitals and health centers in Campinas--Brazil.

Nursing personnel is essential in hospital, health centers and enterprises and is the large work force in health system. A cross-sectional study was conducted in a large city in two public hospitals and five health centre with the objective of to evaluate the work ability and health aspects of nursing staff. The sample was composed by 570 workers.

[Worker's health & outsourcing: worker's profile in a hospital cleaning service].

In the last two decades, service outsourcing has reduced companies' costs by the rationalization of their actions and the exploration of precarious work relations. This research aimed to outline the profile of outsourced workers in the cleaning service of a university hospital, identify their points of view about the health-illness process and future plans. This is a descriptive study from a quantitative approach, involving a random sample with 50 cleaning workers.

[Permanent education in an outsourced cleaning service at a university hospital].

Permanent education has been a source of constant reflections due to a rapid technological evolution, which brings about changes in work organization, and requires updated knowledge from workers. In the context of this new technological paradigm in production relations and work organization, we analyzed the permanent education activities involving outsourced workers in the cleaning sector of a university hospital and evaluated their knowledge about work environment contamination risks and the importance of their work for health maintenance. Six semi-structured interviews were carried out with the outsourced workers in the cleaning sector and two with the persons in charge of permanent education for these workers, besides four activity observation periods and the field diary.
