Article Synopsis
  • A new method is introduced to measure the extinction coefficient (k) of transparent film materials without needing complex optical models or extra physical property data.
  • The approach involves creating a sample with two areas (one coated with the film and the other possibly uncoated or with a different film thickness) to evaluate the differential transmittance under specific conditions, including light polarized at the Brewster angle.
  • Proportionality between differential transmittance and k depends on the film thickness, wavelength, and Brewster angle, and is demonstrated using the example of calculating k for AlF films, with uncertainties analyzed to ensure accuracy.

A Cu(I)-mediated fluoro-deamination method for nucleophilic radiofluorination was devised. The method affords fluorinated aromatic products directly from anilines under both no-carrier added and stoichiometric conditions. Isolated radiochemical yields range from 11% to 81% with high radiochemical purities and a molar activity of 58 MBq/nmol.

In this article, the author explains how the support of new technologies has helped historians to develop their research over the last few decades. The author, therefore, summarizes the application of both database and genealogical programs for the southern Europe family studies as a methodological tool. First, the author will establish the importance of the creation of databases using the File Maker program, after which they will explain the value of using genealogical programs such as Genopro and Heredis.
