Use and outcomes of trastuzumab deruxtecan in HER2-positive and HER2-low metastatic breast cancer in a real-world setting: a nationwide cohort study.

Background: Since 2020, trastuzumab deruxtecan (T-DXd) has been used in France for patients with previously treated human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-positive or HER2-low metastatic breast cancer (mBC). We aimed to describe the clinical characteristics, outcomes, and potential toxicities among patients receiving T-DXd for HER2-positive and HER2-low mBC.

Patients And Methods: Using the French National Health Data System (SNDS), we identified patients who initiated T-DXd for mBC from 30 September 2020 to 30 September 2023.

Comparisons of cumulative live birth rates after embryo transfers at day 2/3 versus day 5/6: a French national study.

Research Question: Are there significant differences between cumulative live birth rates (CLBR) after short or extended embryo culture when comparisons are performed per cycle?

Design: This French national study included all IVF cycles performed from January 2016 to December 2019 with at least one cleaved embryo at day 2. The day 2/3 and day 5/6 groups were identified using the National Biomedicine Agency register. Only attempts involving the vitrification method were included.

Pregnancy Among Women Receiving Chronic Dialysis in France (2006-2020).

Introduction: In women receiving chronic dialysis, fertility is impaired. The objectives of this study were to estimate the incidence rate of pregnancies among women of childbearing age (15-50 years) receiving chronic dialysis from 2006 to 2020 in France, to describe the pregnancy outcomes and renal management during pregnancy.

Methods: This national observational, retrospective study was based on data from the French REIN registry matched with the National Health Data System.

Diversity and Population Sizes of Wintering Waterbirds in the Wetlands of the Saïss-Middle Atlas Region (North-Central Morocco): Main Survival Factors and Evaluation of Habitat Loss.

Moroccan wetlands host up to half a million wintering birds and provide a stopover for tens of thousands of migrants, while they are inhabited by few nesting species. Most of this avifauna prefers to use the large coastal wetlands or reservoirs, while many species are dispersed across hundreds of small inland wetlands of various types. In this study, we monitored the wintering avifauna of 11 wetlands of the Saïss plain and its adjacent Atlas Mountains (north-center of Morocco), during six wintering seasons (2017-2018 to 2022-2023), with the objective of assessing the importance of this region as a waterbird wintering area.

We aimed to develop a prediction model for intensive care unit (ICU) hospitalization of Coronavirus disease-19 (COVID-19) patients using artificial neural networks (ANN). We assessed 25 laboratory parameters at first from 248 consecutive adult COVID-19 patients for database creation, training, and development of ANN models. We developed a new alpha-index to assess association of each parameter with outcome.

High density and successful breeding of Turtle doves in Moroccan olive groves.

Background: The turtle dove is a migratory species that has suffered a rapid decline principally across its Northern ranges, despite pronounced conservation measures. Consequently, it has been categorized as 'Near Threatened' in Europe. Degradation of breeding habitats and a decrease in food resources are listed as principal causes of this decline.

An algorithm for identifying chronic kidney disease in the French national health insurance claims database.

Background: Published algorithms for identifying chronic kidney disease in healthcare claims databases have poor performance except in patients with renal replacement therapy. We propose and describe an algorithm to identify all stage chronic kidney disease in a French healthcare claims databases and assessed its performance by using data from the Renal Epidemiology and Information Network registry and the French Childhood Cancer Survivor Study cohort.

Methods: A group of experts met several times to define a list of items and combinations of items that could be related to chronic kidney disease.

The recentering characteristics of smart materials are considered to be a means to supplement the limitations of conventional seismic design. In general, the recentering characteristics of smart materials are determined by their physical properties, whereas polyurethane springs can regulate the recentering characteristics by controlling the precompression strain.

Numerical solution of fractional boundary value problem with caputo-fabrizio and its fractional integral.

In this article, we investigate the existence and uniqueness of the solution of a fractional boundary value problem with conformable fractional derivation of the Caputo-Fabrizio type. In order to study this problem we used a new definition of fractional integral as an inverse of the conformable fractional derivative of Caputo-Fabrizio, therefore, so we transformed the problem to a equivalent linear Volterra-Fredholm integral equations of the second kind, and taking sufficient conditions existence and uniqueness of this solution is proven based on the results obtained. The analytical study is followed by a complete numerical study.

Structural Retrofitting of Corroded Reinforced Concrete Beams Using Bamboo Fiber Laminate.

Corrosion creates a significant degradation mechanism in reinforced concrete (RC) structures, which would require a high cost of maintenance and repair in affected buildings. However, as the cost of repairing corrosion-damaged structures is high, it is therefore pertinent to develop alternative eco-friendly and sustainable methods. In this study, structural retrofitting of corroded reinforced concrete beams was performed using bamboo fiber laminate.

Smoking and Cannabis Use among Childhood Cancer Survivors: Results of the French Childhood Cancer Survivor Study.

Background: Unhealthy behaviors among childhood cancer survivors increase the risks for cancer treatment adverse effects. We aimed to assess tobacco and cannabis use prevalence in this population and to identify factors associated with these consumptions.

Methods: This study involved 2,887 5-year survivors from the French childhood cancer survivor study (FCCSS) cohort.

A Prediction Model for the Calculation of Effective Stiffness Ratios of Reinforced Concrete Columns.

Nonlinear dynamic analyses of reinforced concrete (RC) frame buildings require the use of effective stiffness of members to capture the effect of cracked section stiffness. In the design codes and practices, the effective stiffness of RC sections is given as an empirical fraction of the gross stiffness. However, a more precise estimation of the effective stiffness is important as it affects the distribution of forces and various demands and response parameters in nonlinear dynamic analyses.

Current and New Approaches to Predict the Deflections of One-Way Flexural Members with a Focus on Composite Steel Deck Slabs Voided by Circular Tubes.

A new type of composite voided slab, the TUBEDECK (TD), which utilizes the structural function of profiled steel decks, has recently been proposed. Previous studies have confirmed that the flexural strength of TD slabs can be calculated based on the full composite contribution of the steel deck, but for long-span flexural members, the deflection serviceability requirement is often dominant. Herein, we derived a novel deflection prediction approach using the results of flexural tests on slab specimens, focusing on TD slabs.

Identifying clusters of health risk behaviors and their predictors in adult survivors of childhood cancer: A report from the French Childhood Cancer Survivor Study.

Objective: Health risk behaviors (HRB) of childhood cancer survivors (CCS) are generally studied separately, despite the evidence suggesting that HRB are not independent. To our knowledge, few studies have examined HRB profiles in the former pediatric cancer patients. In this study, we identified HRB profiles and examined predictors engaging in unhealthy behaviors in CCS.

Diversity of feeding habitats and diet composition in the turtle doves to buffer loss and modification of natural habitats during breeding season.

The approach of the birds to use physical and alimentary resources in degraded and modified natural habitats is an important aspect of their adaptation. This study was undertaken during 2016-2017 at forty habitats in the Moulouya plain, Morocco to examine behavioral diet, habitat use and foraging ecology of turtle dove, . We monitored turtle doves in four major plots namely cereal plots, lucerne farms, apple orchards, and stations in the Ansgmir River covering 40 habitats.
