Total mercury (Hg) was determined in 450 environmental samples (seawater, sediment plant and fish) from five Mahdia coastal areas (Tunisia). Tolerable Weekly Intake% (TWI) values, according to the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), were calculated based on the average metal concentration in fish and the average weekly fish consumption rate. Hg was accumulated mainly in fish and in leaves.

Aromatase inhibitors (AIs) as anastrozole have been used instead of tamoxifen for adjuvant endocrine treatment of postmenopausal women with hormone sensitive breast cancer. This study is to evaluate the concurrent treatment of anastrozole and RIPF in rats.

The relationships between phytoplankton and environmental factors were explored using Canonical Correspondence Analysis (CCA). General linear models (GLMs) were used to predict the phytoplankton abundance.

Patients And Methods: Retrospective comparative nonrandomized interventional case series including consecutive patients who underwent PPV with or without encircling band and SO tamponade for RRD associated with buphthalmos.
Results: The study included 19 eyes of 19 children.
Statement Of Problem: Accuracy of internal fit and microleakage for CAD-CAM systems used in metal coping fabrication and veneered with layering or pressing porcelain in ceramometallic restoration is unclear.
Material And Methods: A master metal die was milled to resemble the right mandibular first molar preparation for coverage with ceramometallic restoration. Master die was duplicated to twenty-four resin specimen dies.
In this study, 18 plasticizer (phthalates, adipates, sebacates, and others) residues in sixteen medicines available in Tunisian pharmaceutical markets are evaluated by MSPD combined with GC-MS. In parallel, in this research, UPLC-MS/MS technique was performed to detect bisphenol A, and cadmium, lead, chromium, cobalt, nickel, mercury, selenium, and arsenic levels were determined by ICP-MS. The maximum daily ingested mass of mineral elements was calculated and compared with permissible daily exposure limits published by USP NF 2013.

Background And Objectives: The Covid-19 pandemic reduced access to social activities and routine health care that are central to dementia prevention. We developed a group-based, video-call, cognitive well-being intervention; and investigated its acceptability and feasibility; exploring through participants' accounts how the intervention was experienced and used in the pandemic context.
Research Design And Method: We recruited adults aged 60+Â years with memory concerns (without dementia).
The microbial communities play a crucial role in ecosystem functioning through interactions among individuals and taxonomic groups in a highly dynamic marine ecosystem. The structure and functioning of the microbial communities are often influenced by the changes in the surrounding environment. Monitoring the microbial diversity of the marine ecosystem helps to understand spatial patterns of microbial community and changes due to season, climate, and various drivers of biological diversity.

The aim of this study is to determine physiochemical and bacteriological properties of seawater and sediments from the coast of Tunisia during six successive months. The conductivity was measured using previously calibrated Hach Conductivity meter. Total suspended solid was determined using Whatman GF/C glass fiber filter (Sigma Aldrich), and the turbidity was assessed using a spectrophotometer (UV/Vis).

Variant films were prepared employing the casting method and using hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose and polyvinyl alcohol. The formulated films were investigated for insulin content, weight variation, surface pH, thickness, folding endurance and disintegration time.

The aim of this work was to use the multielement analysis together with chemometric tools to verify the botanical and the geographical origin of honeys. The correlation on the basis of mineral element content between the honey samples and their botanical and/or geographical origins was in some measure achieved.

Although many tools were used to detect volume overload in such patients, many non-specific results were due to presence of comorbidities. Bioimpedance spectroscopy is an objective fluid status assessment method, which is shown superior to classical methods in many studies.

These peptides exert a lytic action on various microorganisms and have no considerable hemolytic effect except dermaseptin S4 (DS4) which exhibits a powerful cytotoxic effect. Therefore, we synthesized several analogs of DS4 in an attempt to find molecules with a weak hemolytic effect and significant bioactivities.

Methods: The study included all patients from a population-based surveillance site in Damanhour, Egypt hospitalized for a broad set of criteria consistent with community acquired ARIs.
Evidence for the extrapulmonary benefits of (CFTR) modulators is rapidly expanding. The use of CFTR modulators in CF patients who have undergone lung transplantation is not clear without guidance published in the medical literature to assist clinicians in the care of these patients. We discuss the potential benefits of CFTR modulators and provide insight into their use based on our experience in a small cohort of CF LTx recipients.

The upregulation of EGFR has been embroiled in the pathophysiology of Alzheimer's disease (AD). Nevertheless, most of EGFR-tyrosine kinase inhibitors (EGFR-TKIs) have been extensively studied for non-CNS diseases such as cancer and rheumatoid arthritis.
