Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a neurodegenerative disease characterized by cognitive impairment and memory deficit. Even with extensive research and studies, presently, there is no effective treatment for the management of AD. Besides, most of drugs used in the treatment of AD did not avert the AD neuropathology, and the disease still in a progressive status.

A prominent feature of AD is progressive dementia, which eventually disrupts daily functioning and the ability to live independently. A major challenge in addressing AD is its prolonged pre-symptomatic phase, which makes early detection difficult.

This study aims to assess the prognostic and biological value of in breast cancer (BC).
Methods: The biological and prognostic value of were evaluated at mRNA ( = 5109) and protein levels ( = 614) utilizing multiple well-characterized early stage BC cohorts.
Unlabelled: Ecdysoneless (ECD) protein is essential for embryogenesis, cell-cycle progression, and cellular stress mitigation with an emerging role in mRNA biogenesis. We have previously shown that ECD protein as well as its mRNA are overexpressed in breast cancer and ECD overexpression predicts shorter survival in patients with breast cancer. However, the genetic evidence for an oncogenic role of ECD has not been established.

Previously, we identified Ecdysoneless (ECD) protein, the human homolog of the gene, as a novel HPV16 E6-interacting protein. Here, we show that ECD, through its C-terminal region, selectively binds to high-risk but not to low-risk HPV E6 proteins.

Here, we identified key components of the mRNA export complexes as binding partners of ECD and characterized the functional interaction of ECD with key mRNA export-related DEAD BOX protein helicase DDX39A. We find that ECD is involved in RNA export through its interaction with DDX39A.

This study aimed to elucidate the biological and prognostic role of LAIR-1 in invasive breast cancer (BC).
Methods: The biological and prognostic effect of LAIR-1 was evaluated at the mRNA and protein levels using well-characterised multiple BC cohorts.
The absence of a robust risk stratification tool for triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) underlies imprecise and nonselective treatment of these patients with cytotoxic chemotherapy. This study aimed to interrogate transcriptomes of TNBC resected samples using next generation sequencing to identify novel biomarkers associated with disease outcomes. A subset of cases (n = 112) from a large, well-characterized cohort of primary TNBC (n = 333) were subjected to RNA-sequencing.
