  • The study investigates the optimal timing for taking L-thyroxine among hypothyroid patients during Ramadan fasting, which poses challenges for medication adherence due to dietary restrictions.
  • Patients were divided into three groups based on when they took their medication in relation to iftar and suhoor, and their thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) levels were monitored.
  • Results showed no significant changes in TSH levels among the different timing groups before and after Ramadan, indicating that the timing of L-thyroxine intake may not impact thyroid function during fasting.
