Anti-seizure medications (ASMs) are specific types of anticonvulsants used to treat epileptic seizures. However, several studies have shown an association between ASMs and an increased risk of hematological disorders, such as thrombocytopenia, aplastic anemia, and platelet function disorders leading to prolonged bleeding times. This review explores the existing literature on this topic, investigating a wide variety of ASMs, ranging from first-generation medications to newer ones.

Objective: The objective of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of personalized antihypertensive therapy, guided by pharmacogenetic testing, in terms of blood pressure (BP) control and medication tolerability.
Materials And Methods: A retrospective cohort study was conducted at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, Karachi, from January 2023 to December 2023.
The lung tumor microenvironment (TME) or stroma is a dynamic space of numerous cells and their released molecules. This complicated web regulates tumor progression and resistance to different modalities. Lung cancer cells in conjunction with their stroma liberate a wide range of factors that dampen antitumor attacks by innate immunity cells like natural killer (NK) cells and also adaptive responses by effector T cells.

Distinct projections encircling the central microtubules of the spermatozoal axoneme play pivotal roles in flagellar bending and spermatozoal movement. Mammalian sperm-associated antigen 17 (SPAG17) encodes a conserved axonemal protein of cilia and flagella, forming part of the C1a projection of the central apparatus, with functions related to ciliary/flagellar motility, skeletal growth, and male fertility.

The analysis by aberration-corrected scanning transmission electron microscopy and X-ray absorption spectroscopy revealed the presence of single-atom Fe in Fe-N coordination structures, along with small clusters as Fe-O-coordinated FeO. Single-atom Fe in the form of Fe/Fe provides more electrocatalytic active sites, which synergistically accelerates the charge migration process in the assembly of Fe-FeO-NSC with FeO clusters.

In this study, the aggregation behavior, specifically the micellization pattern (critical micelle concentration (CMC)) of RLs produced from a newly isolated thermophilic strain of from a harsh environment of an oil field, was investigated by a spectrophotometric method at various temperatures (293-393 K) and electrolyte concentrations (NaCl: 2-20%). The result indicated that the values (0.

The development of a new Neodymium/Dysprosium metal-organic framework, referred to as Nd/Dy-BTC MOF, based on benzene-1,2,4-tricarboxylic acid, has been achieved through an in situ growth process on 2D transition metal carbides (MXene) surfaces. This synthesis was conducted via a solvothermal method utilizing a solvent mixture of water, ethanol, and dimethylformamide. The primary objective of this research is to investigate the framework's efficacy as a photocatalyst for the degradation of anionic dye, as well as its potential for sensing certain explosives.

Methods: Ethics approval was obtained from the institutional review board.
There has been an increased demand for dental bleaching globally irrespective of age and gender. Main drawbacks associated with conventional tooth bleaching agents have been compromised strength and mineral-content of tooth enamel which results in sensitivity, discomfort, roughness, and structure loss of human teeth. Currently, nanoparticles synthesized by green synthesis have gained popularity especially in medical and dental applications because of their versatile and beneficial nano-scaled features.

Current clinical assessments are laborious to administer and score and may not always detect subtle memory decline. The Famous Faces Task (FF) has robustly demonstrated that left temporal lobe epilepsy (LTLE) patients remember fewer names and biographical details compared to right TLE (RTLE) patients and healthy controls (HCs).

Understanding the effect of age and comorbidities on overall disease progression is crucial to identify highly susceptible individuals and to develop effective disease management strategies in a resource limited country like Pakistan.
Methodology: A retrospective study was conducted on hospitalized COVID-19 patients to assess the prevalence of various comorbidities among different age groups and their effect on disease severity and mortality rate.

Methods: This triple-blinded, randomized clinical trial included participants (n = 60) having Class- I and II cavitations with a minimum cavity depth of 3mm at Department of Operative Dentistry & Endodontics, School of Dentistry, Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University, Islamabad from January 5, 2023, to June 20, 2023. They were randomly assigned into two groups A and B (n = 30).
Phosphorus (P) and iron (Fe) deficiency are major limiting factors for plant productivity worldwide. White lupin ( L.) has become a model plant for understanding plant adaptations to P and Fe deficiency, because of its ability to form cluster roots, bottle-brush-like root structures play an important role in the uptake of P and Fe from soil.

In outpatient imaging, a substantial portion of chest radiographs show no actionable findings. Automatically identifying these cases could improve efficiency by facilitating shorter reading workflows.

Clinically, it mimics other common pathologies such as acute appendicitis, acute diverticulitis and acute cholecystitis. It is therefore no surprise, that it was rarely diagnosed pre operatively before the advent and easy availability of modern imaging techniques.
