The research involves an experimental investigation into the performance of a flow assisting air heat exchanger under varying angular orientation and uniform external heat fluxes without and with spring turbulators. The investigation was performed for Reynolds numbers ranging from 511 to 9676 and inclination angle 15° and 30°. Three heat fluxes (2, 3, and 4 kW/m) were applied to the test section to investigate the effect of external surface heating on the range of transition flow regime and thermohydraulic performance.

Article Synopsis
  • Cancer is a complex disease with rising cases, and current treatments like chemotherapy and radiation have limited effectiveness and serious side effects.* -
  • This study explored the therapeutic potential of seven phytochemicals against key cancer-associated proteins using computational docking and in-vitro experiments.* -
  • Results showed that certain phytochemicals can inhibit cancer cell growth and trigger cell death, indicating their promise as multi-targeted therapeutic agents.*

Background: Left-sided mechanical prosthetic heart valve thrombosis (PVT) occurs because of suboptimal anticoagulation and is common in low-resource settings. Urgent surgery and fibrinolytic therapy (FT) are the two treatment options available for this condition. Urgent surgery is a high-risk procedure but results in successful restoration of valve function more often and is the treatment of choice in developed countries.

Background: In patients with multi-vessel disease presenting with ST elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), the efficacy and safety of ischemia-guided, vs routine non-culprit vessel angioplasty has not been adequately studied.

Methods: We conducted an international, randomized, non-inferiority trial comparing ischemia-guided non-culprit vessel angioplasty to routine non-culprit vessel angioplasty, following primary PCI for STEMI. The primary outcome was the between-group difference in percent ischemic myocardium at follow-up stress MPI.
