Article Synopsis
  • The study explores the effects of carvacrol zinc oxide quantum dots (CVC-ZnO QDs) on breast cancer MCF-7 cells and mammary cancer models, focusing on their molecular interactions and biological impacts.
  • Using molecular docking analysis, CVC was found to have strong binding affinities with key proteins in the PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway, which are crucial for cell growth and survival.
  • The research demonstrated that CVC-ZnO QDs have a dose-dependent cytotoxic effect on MCF-7 cells, leading to increased oxidative stress and apoptosis, suggesting their potential use as a therapeutic strategy for breast cancer treatment.

Iron oxide nanoparticles (FeO NPs) have gained considerable attention due to their diverse applications in various fields. However, concerns about their potential toxic effects on the environment and living organisms have also emerged. In this study, we synthesized and characterized FeO NPs and assessed their immunotoxicity on the coelomocytes of .

Since most solid tumors have a low pH value, a pH-responsive drug delivery system may offer a broad method for tumor-targeting treatment. The present study is used to analyze the anticancer activity of carvacrol-zinc oxide quantum dots (CVC-ZnO QDs) against breast cancer cells (MDA-MB-231). CVC-ZnO QDs demonstrate pH responsive and are specifically released within the acidic pH tumor microenvironment.
