Hibernomas are rare brown fat tumors that garnered attention in the literature with the increasing use of [F] Fluorodeoxyglucose Positron Emission Tomography/Computed Tomography ([F] FDG PET/CT) for the staging workup and follow-up of solid malignancies. Despite being benign tumors, they exhibit high metabolic activity due to their thermogenic nature, leading to significant radiotracer uptake on functional imaging. This can pose a challenge in differentiating them from the malignant lesions, especially the fat-containing malignancies such as liposarcoma.

A new preparation of Ga-DOTATOC using a new 'ready-to-use' Ga-DOTATOC formulation for injection has been developed (Ga-DOTATOC (SomaKIT TOC)).

The incidence of neuroendocrine neoplasms (NENs) is increasing, especially for patients with early stages and grade 1 tumours. Current evidence also shows increased prevalence, probably reflecting earlier stage diagnosis and improvement of treatment options. Definition of adequate postsurgical follow-up for NENs is a current challenge.

Methods: Individual data from patients with iCCA recruited into the prospective, random assignment Advanced Biliary Tract Cancer (ABC)-01, -02, and -03 studies were retrieved.
Introduction: We used phase-3 CONVERT trial data to investigate the impact of fludeoxyglucose F 18 (F-FDG) positron emission tomography (PET)/computed tomography (CT) in SCLC.
Methods: CONVERT randomized patients with limited-stage SCLC to twice-daily (45 Gy in 30 fractions) or once-daily (66 Gy in 33 fractions) chemoradiotherapy. Patients were divided into two groups in this unplanned analysis: those staged with conventional imaging (contrast-enhanced thorax and abdomen CT and brain imaging with or without bone scintigraphy) and those staged with F-FDG PET/CT in addition.
Background & Aims: The role of F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography (FDG-PET) in the diagnosis and staging of patients with biliary tract cancers (BTCs) remains controversial, so we aimed to provide robust information on the utility of FDG-PET in the diagnosis and management of BTC.
Methods: This systematic review and meta-analysis explored the diagnostic test accuracy of FDG-PET as a diagnostic tool for diagnosis of primary tumour, lymph node invasion, distant metastases and relapsed disease. Subgroup analysis by study quality and BTC subtype were performed.
Background: Carboplatin-etoposide (CarboEtop) is a 1st-line option for patients with advanced extra-pulmonary (EP), poorly-differentiated (PD) neuroendocrine carcinoma (NEC). Different schedules are used in clinical practice and randomised evidence is lacking.

Imaging biomarkers (IBs) are integral to the routine management of patients with cancer. IBs used daily in oncology include clinical TNM stage, objective response and left ventricular ejection fraction. Other CT, MRI, PET and ultrasonography biomarkers are used extensively in cancer research and drug development.
