Methods: Breast cancer patients eligible for BCS and diagnosed after biennial screening mammography in the south of The Netherlands (2008-2017) were retrospectively included. Missing values were imputed and multivariable regression analyses were performed to analyze whether preoperative MRI was related to margin involvement after BCS, as well as to examine what factors were associated with positive resection margins, defined as more than focally (>4 mm) involved.
A computer-aided diagnosis (CADx) system for breast masses is proposed, which incorporates both handcrafted and convolutional radiomic features embedded into a single deep learning model. The model combines handcrafted and convolutional radiomic signatures into a multi-view architecture, which retrieves three-dimensional (3D) image information by simultaneously processing multiple two-dimensional mass patches extracted along different planes through the 3D mass volume. Each patch is processed by a stream composed of two concatenated parallel branches: a multi-layer perceptron fed with automatically extracted handcrafted radiomic features, and a convolutional neural network, for which discriminant features are learned from the input patches.

We suggest that it is the thermodynamic volume and not the entropy that controls the complexity of formation of large black holes in both the complexity equals action and complexity equals volume proposals in general. Our proposal reduces to known results involving the entropy in settings where the thermodynamic volume and entropy are not independent, but has broader scope.

Method: From September 2017 to December 2018, 26 women with histologically proven breast cancer were scanned with the conventional rs-EPI and the SMS-ss-EPI at 3 T during the same imaging examination. Four breast radiologists (4-13 years of experience) independently scored both acquired series of 25 women (one case was used for training) for overall image quality (1: extremely poor to 9: excellent) and artifacts (1: very disturbing to 5: not present).
Background: Understanding risk factors for driving under the influence of alcohol (DUIA) informs development of effective interventions. This study examined the association between ethnicity, immigration status, and DUIA, exploring psychological distress and hazardous drinking as additional contributors.
Method: Data were derived from the 2003-2011 cycles of the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) Monitor of 16,101 adults from Ontario, Canada.
The species complex is highly variable morphologically and causes powdery mildew on a wide range of species, including stone fruit.
