Clinico-Epidemiological Trends of Leprosy at a Tertiary Care Centre of South Rajasthan: A 10-Year Retrospective Study.

Background: Leprosy is a major public health problem in India, which affects many people every year and has significantly high new case detection rates in certain districts and blocks. According to the National Leprosy Elimination Program (NLEP) report of March 2019, there were a total of 1.14 lakhs new cases of leprosy in India with an Annual New Case Detection Rate (ANCDR) of 8.

Cyclosporine in Stevens-Johnson Syndrome and Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis: Experience from a Tertiary Care Centre of South Rajasthan.

Background: Stevens-Johnson syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis are severe, life-threatening mucocutaneous drug reactions with a high morbidity and mortality that require immediate medical care. Several immunomodulatory drugs are used for the treatment but evidence of their efficacy is limited. Cyclosporine has recently been found to have a promising role in SJS/TEN owing to its potent antiapoptotic activity.

Chronic Cutaneous Lupus Erythematosus in a Blaschkoid Pattern over Face.

Linear lesions following the lines of Blaschko of chronic cutaneous lupus erythematosus is a highly unusual variant of cutaneous lupus, particularly in adult. The lesions are restricted to one anatomical site with facial predilection in most of the reported cases. We herein, report a case of chronic cutaneous lupus erythematosus due to rarity of presentation and later age of onset.

Combined hamartoma of retina and retinal pigment epithelium associated with ipsilateral congenital blepharoptosis: a rare association.

Purpose: To report a patient who had concomitant congenital hamartoma of the retinal pigment epithelium and retina and ipsilateral congenital blepharoptosis.

Methods: Case report.

Results: An 11-year-old male presented with left-sided congenital blepharoptosis and combined hamartoma of the retina and retinal pigment epithelium in the ipsilateral eye.

Lymphomatoid papulosis type C of the eyelid in a young girl: a case report and review of literature.

Purpose: To report an unusual presentation of a case of Lymphomatoid papulosis(LyP) in a young girl.

Material And Methods: A 14-year-old female presented with a history of swelling of the left upper eyelid of two weeks duration. There was a history of trivial trauma prior to the swelling.

Orbital involvement in systemic mastocytosis.

A 61-year-old female presented with a 3-day history of painful and reddened right eye with painful ocular movements. She had been diagnosed as having systemic mastocytosis 4 years earlier. Ocular examination showed Best Corrected Visual acuity of 6/6 right eye and 6/6 left eye.

Management of bi-canalicular block: A novel technique.

Medial canthal dystopia with canalicular obstruction is a common presentation following injury to the medial canthal region. Conjunctivodacryocystorhinostomy with Lester's Jones tube is considered as the standard treatment in such cases. Alternatively, these patients can be managed by retrograde intubation dacryocystorhinostomy with medial canthoplasty.

An unusual case of intraorbital foreign body and its management.

A 36-year-old aboriginal female presented following an assault with a wooden fence paling. Examination revealed a wooden object protruding lateral to the left eyebrow. CT scan showed a blow-in fracture of lateral orbital wall and a hypodense foreign body causing indentation of the globe and stretching of the optic nerve.

Actinic granuloma of the conjunctiva in young women.

Objective: To report the occurrence of actinic granuloma of the conjunctiva in young women.

Design: Retrospective case series.

Participants: Three eyes of 3 young women with a unilateral conjunctival mass of recent onset.

Triple-Flaps for lateral canthus reconstruction: A novel technique.

A 45 year old female presented with a pigmented lesion in the right periocular region. The mass was present on the lateral 1/3 of the lower eyelid and involving the lateral 1/8 of the upper eyelid. Full thickness excision with wide tumor-free margins was done and the residual defect was repaired.

Smart phone as an adjunctive imaging tool to visualize scolex in orbital myocysticercosis.

Orbital myocysticercosis is a helminthic infestation with variable clinical presentations. Computed tomography is considered gold standard in orbital imaging. Evaluation of computed tomography films in out-patient departments (OPD) is important in the management of orbital diseases.

Trichilemmal cyst of the eyelid: masquerading as recurrent chalazion.

A 52-years-old female presented with a history of a painless, progressive swelling in the left lower eyelid of one-year duration. The lesion was excised twice as a chalazion and recurred. Excisional biopsy of the mass was performed and histopathological findings were consistent with those of trichilemmal cyst.

Acute recurrence of orbital cavernous hemangioma in a young man: a case report.

A 29-year-old man presented with a history of prominent left eye of 6 months' duration. He also reported fluctuating blurred vision since 15 days ago. On examination, proptosis of 3 mm was noted in the left eye.
