Objectives: The current study aimed to assess the effects of ascorbic acid augmented albumin platelet-rich fibrin (AA Alb-PRF) on the wound healing activity of human gingival fibroblasts (HGFs) purported to be a regenerative biomaterial in surgical procedures.
Materials And Methods: All assays were performed on three HGF groups, group I: complete media; group II: Alb-PRF, and group III: AA Alb- PRF. Alb-PRF was prepared following the protocol by Fujioka-Kobayashi et al.
Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are persistent organic pollutants previously associated with elevated liver enzymes in human cohorts and steatotic liver disease in animal models. We aimed to evaluate the associations between PFAS exposures, and liver enzymes and vibration controlled transient elastography (VCTE) biomarkers of metabolic dysfunction associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) in adult National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2017 to 2018. VCTE was determined by FibroScan.

Fibroma is proliferative fibrotic lesions of the gingiva and oral mucosa, which may cause aesthetic and functional problems. Fibrous hyperplasia and fibroepithelial hyperplasia are histological alternates of these nonneoplastic lesions.

However, the role of cognitive function on motor control and purposeful movement is not well studied. The aim of the review was to determine the impact of cognition on physical performance in COPD.

Therefore, it is important to identify whether the therapists have the required knowledge, skills and resources in order to deliver the best evidence-based practice.
Objectives: The main objective of this cross-sectional study is to analyse the self-reported characteristics of behaviour, knowledge, skills and resources, opinion and barriers related to evidence-based practice among cardiopulmonary physical therapists of United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Introduction: In our daily life, arm activities, whether supported or unsupported play a major role. Both simple and complex activities require the muscles, namely trapezius, pectoralis minor, scalene, and intercostals, to participate in arm positioning. These muscles also enact as the accessory respiratory muscles.

Domain III (ED3) of the viral envelope protein contains the two dominant putative epitopes and part of the heparin sulfate receptor binding region that drives the dengue virus (DENV)'s fusion with the host cell. Here, we used high-hydrostatic-pressure nuclear magnetic resonance (HHP-NMR) to obtain residue-specific information on the folding process of domain III from serotype 4 dengue virus (DEN4-ED3), which adopts the classical three-dimensional (3D) ß-sandwich structure known as the Ig-like fold.

The limited study of the effect of lecture attendance on dental students' performance has yielded mixed results, with some studies finding a positive effect and others reporting no association. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of lecture attendance on dental students' final grades in an oral pathology course at one U.

Envelope protein domain III (ED3) of the dengue virus is important for both antibody binding and host cell interaction. Here, we focused on how a L387I mutation in the protein core could take place in DEN4 ED3, but cannot be accommodated in DEN3 ED3 without destabilizing its structure. To this end, we modeled a DEN4_L387I structure using the Penultimate Rotamer Library and taking the DEN4 ED3 main-chain as a fixed template.

The third domain of the viral envelope protein (ED3) contains the two major putative epitopes and is a highly suitable model protein for examining the molecular determinants of a virus' sero-specificity. Here we examine d the sero-specificity and cross-reactivity of the immune response against DEN3 and DEN4 ED3 using six epitope grafted ED3 variants where the surface-exposed epitope residues from DEN3 ED3 were switched to those of DEN4 ED3 and vice versa.

Abstract: Pregnancy is affected by maternal age from conception till delivery. Various studies have been conducted globally to study this effect; few in developing countries. Maternal age is increasing in developing countries as well, so we have conducted this study.
