Dimethoxynaphthalene peri-diselenide-based BODIPY (4,4-difluoro-4-bora-3a,4a-diaza-s-indacene) probe has been synthesized. The probe demonstrated selectivity and sensitivity for hydrogen peroxide (HO) and butylhydroperoxide (BuOOH), hydroxyl radical (OH), and peroxynitrite ion (ONOO) detection and reversibility upon treatment with glutathione. Copper sulfide films with various phases such as mixed metallic Cu-chalcocite, chalcocite, roxbyite, and covellite phases were formed with increasing sulfurization time. To evaluate the structural stability of various films, all the films were exposed to the ambient atmosphere for the same amount of time.
