Introduction: With an increasing number of people experiencing limitations in functioning during their life course, the need for comprehensive rehabilitation services is high. In 2017, the WHO Rehabilitation 2030 initiative noted that the need for the establishment and expansion of rehabilitation services is paramount in order to obtain well-being for the population and to ensure equal access to quality healthcare for all. The organization of rehabilitation services is however facing challenges especially in low-and middle-income countries with a very small proportion of people who require rehabilitation actually getting them.

Lipoblastomas are benign tumours of immature fat cells presenting in infancy. A lipoblastoma within the airway lumen causing airway compromise is an extremely rare occurrence. We present a 6 hours of life girl who had airway compromise due to a lobulated mass at the base of the tongue.

Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the chemopreventive activity of Malaysian jungle Tualang honey (TH) after oral carcinogenesis induced with 4-nitroquinoline 1-oxide (4 NQO).

Study Design: A total of 28 male Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats were distributed into 4 groups as follows: group 1 (nontreated group); group 2 (control), which received 4 NQO during 8 weeks in drinking water only; and groups 3 and 4, which received 4 NQO for 8 weeks in drinking water and treated with TH 1000 mg/kg and 2000 mg/kg by oral gavage for 10 weeks. All rats from all experiments were sacrificed after 22 weeks, and the incidence of oral neoplasms and histopathologic changes were microscopically evaluated.

Approximately 25% of all cases of extranodal non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) occur in the head and neck region; NHL of the external auditory canal (EAC) and thyroid gland are rare. Specific immunohistochemical staining of the excised tissue is required to confirm the final pathologic diagnosis. We report the case of a 53-year-old woman with underlying systemic lupus erythematosus and autoimmune hemolytic anemia that were in remission.
