Spodoptera litura and Helicoverpa armigera are polyphagous pests of agricultural crops in the Asian tropics since these pests have been responsible for massive crop and carry economic losses and low commodity production. At the same time, mosquitoes are vectors for numerous dreadful diseases, which is the most important group of insect for their public health concern. Using synthetic insecticides to control the pests can lead to contamination of land surface and groundwater and impact beneficial soil organisms and nontarget species.
