Longevity of gold restorations in posterior teeth: A retrospective study up to 10-years.

Objective: In this retrospective clinical study, we investigated the long-term survival and success of indirect gold restorations, placed by undergraduate students.

Material And Methods: The study included 72 gold restorations in 45 patients, placed in a five-year period between 2009 and 2013. Two experienced dentists performed the evaluation following the FDI criteria after 5 to 10 years.

Postmortal interrogation of cardiac implantable electrical devices (CIED) may contribute to the determination of time of death in forensic medicine. Recent studies aimed to improve estimation of time of death by combining findings from autopsy, CIED interrogation and patients´ medical history. Intraoral Repair of a Glass-Ceramic Restoration With Nanohybrid Ormocers: A Case Report.

The interest in repairing failed restorations has been growing; such a procedure may prolong the life span of defective direct and indirect dental restorations. The intraoral repair using resin-based composite materials has major benefits, as it preserves the main body of the restoration, avoids unnecessary removal of sound tooth structure, is an easy and fast treatment, avoids additional appointments, and is inexpensive. We present two cases of skin discolorations caused by using make-up and suction of the skin which have only rarely been reported.

Background: The term "bolus death" or "cafe coronary" refers to a misplaced larynx or laryngeal inlet by foreign bodies, in most cases by unchewed pieces of food such as meat, sausage, or fruit.
