Introduction: Type 1 diabetes (T1D) mellitus is an autoimmune disease in which immune cells, predominantly effector T cells, destroy insulin-secreting beta-cells. Beta-cell destruction led to various consequences ranging from retinopathy and nephropathy to neuropathy. Different strategies have been developed to achieve normoglycemia, including exogenous glucose compensation, whole pancreas transplantation, islet transplantation, and beta-cell replacement.

Objective: Neuroinflammation is the hallmark of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) disease. Regulatory T cells (Tregs) are essential in immune tolerance and neuroinflammation prevention. It has been shown that a significant decrease in Treg and FoxP3 protein expression is observed in ALS patients.

In this study, we aimed to investigate the mutations in TCIRG1 and SNX10 that are responsible for 50% and 4% of the cases, respectively. All amplicons were sequenced by Sanger sequencing following PCR amplification.

Specifically, ALL is a malignant disorder of the lymphoid progenitor cells, with a peak incidence among children aged 2-5 years. The t(12;21)(p13;q22) translocation occurs in 25 % of childhood B cell precursor ALL.

We included 32 patients with diagnosis of primary gout disease and 100 healthy volunteers. DNA was purified from peripheral blood, and all exons of the SLC22A12 gene were sequenced.

The patients with this aberration are very important for setting up precise karyotype-phenotype correlations particularly in Down syndrome phenotype. We present here a patient with Down syndrome with a de novo derivative chromosome 21.

We report here the case of a 5 year-old girl with juvenile myelomonocytic leukemia and normal female karyotype who developed acute myeloblastic leukemia with a karyotype of 46, X, t(X; 7) (p21; p11.2), der(7) t(3; 7) (q13.

More than 40 different mutations found in Turkish beta-thalassemia patients are mostly composed of point mutations, and only in very rare cases a deletion or an insertion causes beta-thalassemia phenotypes. Here, we report two patients who were clinically diagnosed with beta-thalassemia major and HbS/beta-thalassemia respectively.

This cross-sectional study was carried out in Manavgat province, which is a major tourism center on the Mediterranean coast of Turkey. The authors studied consanguineous marriages in rural and urban population in the Mediterranean coast, Manavgat province, Turkey, via a 1500 random survey sample of married couples.

In addition, a modified restriction assay was used for analysis of the predominant Jewish mutations: 185delAG, 5382InsC, Tyr978X (BRCA1) and 6174delT (BRCA2). Eighty three breast/ovarian cancer patients were screened: twenty three had a positive family history of breast/ovarian cancer, ten were males with breast cancer at any age, in eighteen the disease was diagnosed under 40 years of age, one patient had ovarian cancer in addition to breast cancer and one patient had ovarian cancer.

The infection was traced to the growth of implanted skin in the galea associated with growth of hair and accumulation of keratinous debris in the subgaleal space. Factors governing the implantation of cutaneous elements and their subsequent fate are examined in detail in the light of experimental and clinical observations.
