Arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy is an inherited entity characterized by irregular cell-cell adhesion, cardiomyocyte death and fibro-fatty replacement of ventricular myocytes, leading to malignant ventricular arrythmias, contractile dysfunction and sudden cardiac death. Pathogenic variants in genes that encode desmosome are the predominant cause of arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy. Moreover, signalling pathways such as Wnt/ß-catenin and transforming growth factor-β have been involved in the disease progression.

Glioma cells overexpress different peptide receptors that are useful for research, diagnosis, management, and treatment of the disease. Oncogenic peptides favor the proliferation, migration, and invasion of glioma cells, as well as angiogenesis, whereas anticancer peptides exert antiproliferative, antimigration, and anti-angiogenic effects against gliomas. Two series of newly synthesized sustainable block copolymers based on poly(butylene succinate) (PBSu) and polylactide (PLA) were studied. In this work, we study a series of sustainable block copolymers based on polylactide, PLA, and poly(propylene adipate), PPAd, both polymers being prepared from renewable resources. Envisaging a wide range of future applications in the frame of a green and circular economy, , packaging materials replacing conventional petrochemicals, the employment of PPAd aims at lowering the glass transition and melting temperatures of PLA and, finally, facilitation of the enzymatic degradation and compostability. Background: The aim of this study is to confirm the diagnostic performance of the Chylomicron to very low-density lipoproteins triglycerides (CM/VLDL-TG) ratio, the triglycerides to cholesterol ratio (TG/TC) and a dichotomic rule including the tryglycerides to apolipoprotein B (TG/APOB) ratio for the presence of Type I hyperlipoproteinemia (HPLI) in patients with severe hypertriglyceridemia (sHTG) that were at high risk for familial chylomicronemia syndrome (FCS).
