Aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) and Ochratoxin A (OTA) are considered the most important mycotoxins in terms of food safety. The aim of this study was to evaluate the hepatotoxicity of AFB1 and OTA exposure in Wistar rats and to assess the beneficial effect of fermented whey (FW) and pumpkin (P) as functional ingredients through a proteomic approach. On the basis of the existing phonon materials databases, we have compiled a catalog of topological phonon bands for more than 10,000 three-dimensional crystalline materials. Introduction: Hypophonia is a common feature of Parkinson's disease (PD); however, the contribution of motor cortical activity to reduced phonatory scaling in PD is still not clear.

Methods: In this study, we employed a sustained vowel production task during functional magnetic resonance imaging to compare brain activity between individuals with PD and hypophonia and an older healthy control (OHC) group.

The potential of hair as matrix for assessing long-term exposure to mycotoxins remains scarcely explored. Therefore, this study aimed to develop and validate an analytical methodology for the simultaneous determination of aflatoxins, enniatins, beauvericin and T-2 toxin in human hair, based on a pretreatment stage prior to salt-assisted liquid-liquid extraction and followed by high performance liquid chromatography coupled to high resolution Q-TOF mass spectrometry for the first time. Washing with a non-ionic detergent was successfully applied, whereas enzymatic digestion with Pronase E was mandatory for releasing mycotoxins from the hair matrix.

Validated extraction methods from in vitro digestion phases are necessary to obtain a suitable bioaccessibility study of mycotoxins in bakery products. The bakery industry produces bread with different ingredients to enrich the nutritional properties of this product and protect it from fungal growth. In this study, the antifungal activity of white mustard bran (MB), a by-product of mustard () milling, and white mustard seed flour (MF) was tested against mycotoxigenic fungi in the agar diffusion method. The results obtained were posteriorly confirmed in a quantitative test, determining the minimum concentration of extract that inhibits the fungal growth (MIC) and the minimum concentration with fungicidal activity (MFC). Since MF demonstrated no antifungal activity, the MB was stored under different temperature conditions and storage time to determine its antifungal stability.
