Oral iron promotes intestinal tumourigenesis in animal models. In humans, expression of iron transport proteins are altered in colorectal cancer. This study examined whether the route of iron therapy alters iron transport and tumour growth.

Thoraco-pulmonary and hepatic actinomycosis: an autopsy report.

Actinomycosis is now a rare disease and death unheard of. Diagnosis is made challenging by its varied presentations and ability to be a 'great pretender'. This report describes a rare autopsy case of thoraco-pulmonary and hepatic actinomycosis with the preceding clinical presentation.
