Introduction: Patient Reported Outcome Measurement Information Systems (PROMIS) is increasingly being utilized across the United States as a patient reported outcome evaluation tool for a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions. However, PROMIS Upper Extremity physical function (P-UE) has demonstrated limited responsiveness in the early postoperative period after total shoulder arthroplasty (TSA). The aim of this study is to determine if addition of PROMIS Pain Interference (P-Interference) or Pain Intensity (P-Intensity) scores improve the ability to detect postoperative changes in the one-year postoperative period following TSA.

Snapping sternoclavicular joint (SCJ) is a rare presentation in the SCJ. We present a case report detailing the presentation and treatment of unilateral snapping SCJ in a 14-year-old male patient. Clinical findings included the subluxation of the medial end of the clavicle in the anterior-posterior direction following a specific maneuver by the patient that involved repetitive external rotation with the arm in horizontal abduction.

Purpose: The purposes of this study were to determine why athletes did not return to play (RTP) following operative management of superior-labrum anterior-posterior (SLAP) tears, compare these athletes to those who did RTP, and evaluate the SLAP-Return to Sport after Injury (SLAP-RSI) score to assess the psychological readiness of athletes to RTP after operative management of SLAP tears.

Surgical release of elbow contracture is associated with injury to structures traversing the elbow. To date, only one other case report has been published describing anterior interosseous nerve (AIN) palsy that developed immediately after open elbow contracture release and debridement. Here we describe the unique case of a patient that developed AIN palsy 1 week after operation, including magnetic resonance imaging and electrodiagnostic studies, to shed some light on the etiology of this rare complication.
