Introduction: Hate crimes against Asian American surged in the United States between 2019 and 2020. Those facing COVID-19 discrimination showed heightened psychological distress. We examined whether increased hate crimes against Asian Americans corresponds positively with psychiatric Emergency Department (ED) visits among Asian Americans in California.

Background: Inadequate access to behavioral health services disproportionately impacts marginalized populations who live in disadvantaged areas. To reduce this gap, programs dedicated to optimizing behavioral health education and training must focus their efforts to enroll providers who practice in these disadvantaged areas.

Objective: The Train New Trainers (TNT) fellowship program aims to enhance behavioral health knowledge, skills, and attitudes of primary care providers (PCPs) who deliver care in disadvantaged communities.

We compared the use of sexual and reproductive health (SRH) services for Medicaid-enrolled women of reproductive age (WRA) living in Oregon by urban/rural status and examined the effect of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) Medicaid expansion on the use of SRH services for these women. We linked Oregon Medicaid enrollment files and claims for the years 2008-2016 to identify 392,111 WRA. Outcome measures included receipt of five key SRH services.
