Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) has profound unmet medical need globally for its devastating clinical outcome associated with rapid metastasis and lack of targeted therapies. Recently, lipid metabolic reprogramming especially fatty acid oxidation (FAO) has emerged as a major driver of breast cancer metastasis. Analyzing the expression of major FAO regulatory genes in breast cancer, we found selective overexpression of acyl-CoA synthetase 4 (ACSL4) in TNBC, which is primarily attributed to the absence of progesterone receptor.

Platelets are a distinctive source of membrane bound and soluble proteins that are released upon their activation. The higher count of platelets renders PRP with an array of tissue regenerative abilities.

Morphology transformation in peptides is intricately linked to the physicochemical properties of peptides and external factors such as pH, temperature, and solvent conditions. Thus, it is more complex.

Among these, load-haul-dump (LHD) mining vehicles are vital but expose operators to whole-body vibration (WBV) and shocks during their duties. Research indicates potential health risks associated with occupational WBV exposure, including musculoskeletal disorders.

Even though technological relevance for nuclear and oxide fuel cell application has persuaded a large number of investigations on the YZrO system, its local structure still remains ambiguous and debatable. While diffraction-based investigations claim a lack of local ordering, the MAS NMR and Raman spectroscopic investigations speculate the presence of local ordering. Besides, a correlation between the local and global structures of YZrO is also missing to date.

Potassium carbonate-loaded zeolites can offer a plethora of benefits. In this work, for the first time, zeolite-Y impregnated with KCO was studied as a gas adsorbent (CO, CH, and N) and characterized using TGA (thermogravimetric analyzer), XRD, BET, FTIR, FETEM (Field-Emission Transmission Electron Microscope), and XPS.

The nitro group acting as an end-cap terminates the reaction and subsequently was converted into diazo to couple tyrosine's phenol ring via its -carbon, the inert center to immobilize horseradish peroxidase (HRP) in a multipoint mode. It maintains the status quo of the native enzyme's protein folding and the entire protein groups' chemistry.

This study examined the association between sleep quality, sleep duration, and physical frailty among older adults in India. Moreover, we examined whether the associations between sleep quality, sleep duration, and physical frailty varied by gender.

Different metal-doped nickel oxide (DMD-NiO) nanoparticles (NPs) were synthesized using a sol-gel technique and were used to degrade low-density polyethylene (LDPE) microplastic (MP) films when exposed to sunlight. The optical and structural properties of sol-gel method synthesized materials were investigated using a variety of characterization methods (Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR), UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (UV-vis DRS), X-ray diffractometer (XRD) analysis, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) with energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) analysis, and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA).

The early stages of disc degeneration in terms of functional and anatomical abnormalities start from the central nucleus pulposus tissue of the intervertebral disc; hence its regeneration has become a prime concern. A plethora of hydrogel systems have been investigated as nucleus pulposus tissue substitute over the years, with limited clinical translation.

Mixed quantum/classical theory (MQCT) for the treatment of rotationally inelastic transitions during collisions of two identical molecules, described either as indistinguishable or distinguishable partners, is reviewed. The treatment of two molecules as indistinguishable includes symmetrization of rotational wavefunctions, introduces exchange parity, and leads to state-to-state transition matrix elements different from those in the straightforward treatment of molecules as distinguishable. Moreover, the treatment of collision partners as indistinguishable is eight times faster.

Addressing this issue requires a comprehensive approach, integrating field and challenge inoculation evaluations to identify effective solutions. In this study, an infectious clone of Begomovirus vignaradiataindiaense (MYMIV) was developed to obtain a pure culture of the virus and to confirm resistance in mungbean plants exhibiting resistance under natural field conditions.

Many strategies are reported to inhibit either Cu, Zn, or Fe-induced Aβ fibrillation, focused on one metal. Herein, a taurine-containing adaptable metal sequestering peptide (AMSP) has been developed as the modulator of any of the cited metal-induced Aβ-aggregation .

Tissue-engineered vascular grafts (TEVGs) present an attractive option, though the promising mesenchymal stem cell (MSC)-based implants face uncertain regulatory pathways. In this study, "artificial MSCs" (ArtMSCs) were fabricated by encapsulating MSC-conditioned media (CM) in poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) microparticles.

Therefore, inhibiting Aβ amyloidosis or disrupting the matured fibrils is the primary target to combat progressive Alzheimer's disease (AD) pathogenesis. Here, we undertake optimization strategies to improve the antiamyloid efficiency of our previously reported NF11 (NAVRWSLMRPF) peptide.

Covalent immobilization, particularly via multipoint bonds, prevents denaturing, maintains activities for long-range time, pH, and temperature, and makes catalysts available for repetitive usages; which attracts researchers and industries to bring more immobilized enzyme contenders in science and commercial progressions. Inert-support activation, the most crucial step, needs appropriate activators; under mild conditions, the activator's functional group(s) still present on the activated support rapidly couples the enzyme, preventing unfolding and keeping the active site alive.
