Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of morbidity and mortality in children with chronic kidney disease. Asymmetric dimethylarginine (ADMA) is thought to be related to chronic kidney disease patients' adverse cardiovascular effects. Our study is to assess ADMA concentrations in children on hemodialysis (HD) as a marker of cardiovascular risk and detect the relation to the left ventricular (LV) function by traditional and speckled tracking echo.
