Background: The Y chromosome has a specific region, namely the Azoospermia Factor (AZF) because azoospermia is typically reported in the microdeletion of the AZF region. This study aims to assess the characteristics of AZF microdeletion after screening a massive number of low sperm concentration men; and the Microdissection testicular sperm extraction (mTESE) outcomes for retrieving sperm from azoospermic patients.
Materials And Methods: This retrospective multiple-center study enrolled a total of 1121 men with azoospermia, cryptozoospermia, and severe oligozoospermia from December 2016 to June 2022.
Objective: To develop and validate an LC-M/SMS method for the determination of tacrolimus in human whole blood.
Method: The LC-MS/MS method for the determination of tacrolimus in whole blood was developed and validated according to the guidelines. Concentrations of TAC in 100 kidney transplant patients measured by LC-MS/MS were compared with CMIA using correlation analysis and Bland-Altman plots.
Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of cycling in combination with electroacupuncture in treatment of post-stroke hemiplegia patients at National Hospital of Acupuncture, Vietnam.
Methods: The study was designed as a single-centre, outcome-assessor-blinded parallel randomised controlled trial with 120 post-stroke hemiplegia patients randomly assigned into two groups: electroacupuncture plus cycling (CT group) and electroacupuncture (AT group). Patients were assessed before and after the treatment (using muscle grading, modified Rankin, Barthel, Orgorozo scores and electromyography).
Background: This study aims to investigate the frequencies and association of CYP3A5 polymorphism with tacrolimus concentration among renal transplant recipients in Vietnam.
Methods: Sixty-eight kidney transplant recipients were included in this study from the department of nephrology and dialysis, Military Hospital 103. Blood samples were collected for monitoring of tacrolimus levels and determination of CYP3A5 genetic polymorphism.
Background: Diagnosis and treatment of neurocysticercosis have always been a challenge, especially in Vietnam, a resource-restricted environment. Here, we reported successful surgical management of cerebral peduncle neurocysticercosis.
Presentation Of Case: A 65-year-old man with no medical history complained of headache and progressive right-sided hemiparesis for one month prior to admission.

Introduction: Anorectal malignant melanoma is an uncommon and highly malignant disease with a greater incidence in females. Many patients were misdiagnosed as hemorrhoids, benign polyps, and rectal cancer. They were often diagnosed in an advanced stage.

Methods: Participants included 1384 women and 1049 men aged 18-69 years from the 2015 Vietnam national survey on risk factors of non-communicable diseases. Associations between dietary intake score based on the Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension (DASH) guidelines and World Health Organization recommendations on fruit and vegetable consumption and blood pressure parameters and hypertension were evaluated by multivariate regression analyses.
We report a case of bilateral pulmonary infiltrates and haemoptysis following low-voltage electricity exposure in an agricultural worker. A 58-year-old man standing in water reached for an electric watering machine and sustained an exposure to 220 V circuit for an uncertain duration. The electricity was turned off by another worker, and the patient was asymptomatic for the next 10 h until he developed haemoptysis.

Two studies have found lower testosterone in relation to pair-bonding and motherhood in women, with several others suggesting that estradiol levels are lower among parous women than nulliparous women. Here, we examine estradiol and progesterone concentrations in relation to marriage and motherhood in naturally cycling, reproductive age women.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFTestosterone has been hypothesized to modulate the trade-off between mating and parenting effort in males. Indeed, evidence from humans and other pair-bonded species suggests that fathers and men in committed relationships have lower testosterone levels than single men and men with no children. To date, only one published study has examined testosterone in relation to motherhood, finding that mothers of young children have lower testosterone than non-mothers.
