In recent years, diastolic dysfunction is an evolving context. Presence of left ventricular diastolic dysfunction (LVDD) indicates a poor prognosis in patients with an ACS and chronic coronary artery diseases. This study evaluated the association of LVDD and angiographic severity of CAD in patients with non-ST elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI).

Many circular RNAs (circRNAs) have been reported to be associated with cardiovascular diseases. However, the roles and underlying molecular mechanism of circRNAs in KD-associated EndMT remains indefinite.

Considering the importance of antibiotics removal, this study was aimed at multi-objective modeling and optimization of the Fenton-like process, homogeneous at initial circumneutral pH. Two main issues, including maximizing Ciprofloxacin (CIP) removal and minimizing sludge to iron ratio (SIR), were modeled by comparing central composite design (CCD) based on Response Surface Methodology (RSM) and hybrid Artificial Neural Network-Genetic Algorithm (ANN-GA).

Evaluating the adoption of CAPs as the outcome is complex and challenging with regression-based models as the systemic interdependencies of the factors offer diverse or varying results. Farmer production and environmental orientations as cognitive stances are notable interpreters of CAP adoption.

However, NLRP3 inflammasome activation can trigger its downstream inflammatory cytokines, leading to the activation of pyroptosis-regulated cell death. Current studies reveal that activation of caspase-4/5/11-driven non-canonical inflammasome signaling pathways facilitates the pathogenesis and progression of acute pancreatitis (AP).

The mass adoption of wearable medical devices (WMDs) promotes the ageing population's confidence besides facilitating users. Thus, the current study aims to empirically evaluate the formation of perceived product value (PPV) with the WMDs' computability, usefulness, cost, and accuracy, the intention to use WMDs influenced by health consciousness (HCS), health anxiety (HAY), product value, and perceived critical mass (PCM), and later the adoption of WMDs among Chinese adults.

We aimed to assess the trajectories of asthma symptom and their associations with several family environmental factors during the childhood period in Australia.
Design: Secondary analysis from a cross-sequential cohort study.
Background And Aims: Whether early young adulthood dietary patterns predict the risk of metabolic syndrome (MetS) and diabetes-related endpoints prior to middle age remains unknown. We examined the prospective associations of dietary patterns in early young adulthood with MetS and diabetes-related endpoints at later young adulthood.
Methods: We used data of young adults from a long running birth cohort in Australia.
Sustainable enterprises are essential for developing economies' progress and prosperity. Micro-enterprises (MEs) play an important role in creating jobs and actively participating in socioeconomic activities. However, little is known about how MEs use internal capabilities to achieve long-term success.

Indeed intake of the Asian diet, which contains abundant phytoestrogens, is inversely correlated with a higher risk of prostate cancer, suggesting a chemoprotective effect of phytoestrogen against cancer progression. Although the role of phytoestrogens in cancer treatment has been well documented, their impact on prostate cancer is not well understood.

However, there is a lack of empirical evidence confirming the innovation at the product and process levels that instigated the SMEs' performance. Moreover, the mediating effect of process and product innovation can play a significant role in strategic orientation and manufacturing SMEs' performance.

The CarH photoreceptor exploits of the light-sensing ability of coenzyme B ( adenosylcobalamin = AdoCbl) to perform its catalytic function, which includes large-scale structural changes to regulate transcription. In daylight, transcription is activated in CarH via the photo-cleavage of the Co-C bond of coenzyme B. Subsequently, the photoproduct, 4',5'-anhydroadenosine (anhAdo) is formed inducing dissociation of the CarH tetramer from DNA.

Microneedles are getting more and more attention in research and commercialization since their advancement in the 1990s due to the advantages over traditional hypodermic needles such as minimum invasiveness, low material and fabrication cost, and precise needle geometry control, etc. The design and fabrication of microneedles depend on various factors such as the type of materials used, fabrication planes and techniques, needle structures, etc. In the past years, in-plane and out-of-plane microneedle technologies made by silicon (Si), polymer, metal, and other materials have been developed for numerous biomedical applications including drug delivery, sample collections, medical diagnostics, and bio-sensing.

In this concept piece, we draw on literature to outline how the diversity of aquatic animals, their production, and their consumption all influence their impact within the food system. Built on evidence from an array of reductionist and non-reductionist literature, we suggest that food systems researchers and policymakers adapt current methods and theoretical frameworks to appropriately contextualise aquatic animals in broader food systems.

An understanding of the country specific DBM geographical and socioeconomic distribution in South and Southeast Asian countries will enable targeting of DBM interventions towards high-risk populations in the region. This study aimed to analyse anthropometric indicators for women's nutrition at national and subnational levels in seven South and Southeast Asian countries and assess the association between nutritional status and socioeconomic factors.

In this paper, a comprehensive study was carried out on in-plane silicon (Si) microneedles, a useful tool for transdermal drug delivery and sample collection. Microneedles with eleven designs were investigated by post-complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) compatible microfabrication processes and characterized via pricking tests by insertion in chicken breast flesh. Mechanical strength of all designs were also evaluated by theoretical calculation and finite element modeling (FEM) for bending and buckling analysis.

Cellular senescence has gained a great deal of attention in recent years because of its link to the development of cancer therapy. Senescent cells are incapable of proliferating due to irreversibly inhibition of the initiation of the cell cycle pathways.

We also investigated associations between these outcomes and emergency department (ED) and inpatient (IP) use and costs.

With the increasing use of mobile devices and new technologies, electronic payments, such as near field communication (NFC) mobile payments, are gaining traction and gradually replacing the currency-based cash payment methods. Despite multiple initiatives by various parties to encourage mobile payments, adoption rates in developing countries have remained low. The purpose of this research is to explore the prime determinants of NFC mobile-payment adoption intention and to develop a model of mobile payment adoption that includes perceived risk (PR) as one of the major elements by extending the UTAUT2 theory components.
