Vegetable and fruit contamination is recognized as a significant parasite transmission route. This review presents the current state of vegetables ad fruits contamination with food-borne parasitic protozoa worldwide. We consider the methodologies and strategies for detecting parasitic stages developed in the last decade and the contamination data.

spp. and spp. (Apicomplexa: Eimeriorina) of freshwater Cyprinid fish species in the Kura River basin in Azerbaijan territory.

This study aims to determine the prevalence of and spp. oocysts in fish specimens in the river Kura. It was conducted during the 2021-2022 at two sites: Mingachevir reservoir in central Azerbaijan and in Neftchala district where the river finally enters the Caspian Sea through a delta of the Kura River estuary.

Cryptosporidium and agriculture: A review.

Cryptosporidiosis is a significant contributor to global foodborne and waterborne disease burden. It is a widespread cause of diarrheal diseases that affect humans and animals worldwide. Agricultural environments can become a source of contamination with Cryptosporidium species through faecal material derived from humans and animals.

[ICG technologies in surgical treatment of benign diseases in gynecology].

ICG (indocyanine green) angiography is a method of visualizing blood flow and tissue perfusion based on intravenous administration of ICG and assessment of vascular distribution through an infrared fluorescence camera. Since the advent of ICG as a near-infrared fluorophore, fluorescence imaging has become an important tool in many areas of surgery. Several options for ICG angiography have been recently proposed in surgical gynecology.

[Endoscopic intragastric injection of botulinum toxin in the treatment of patients with morbid obesity: opportunities and prospects].

The authors consider modern epidemiological and demographic data on morbid obesity. Literature review is devoted to non-surgical treatment of patients with morbid obesity. The authors analyze the results of experimental and clinical studies on endoscopic intragastric injection of botulinum toxin and bariatric efficacy of this approach.

Cryptosporidium spp. infections in livestock and wild animals in Azerbaijan territory.

Cryptosporidium is an intracellular protozoan parasite, globally distributed and capable of infecting various vertebrate species, including humans as well as domestic and wild animals. Cryptosporidium is increasingly gaining attention as a human and an animal pathogen mainly due to its dominant involvement in worldwide waterborne outbreaks. The present paper reviews the current knowledge and understanding of Cryptosporidium spp.

Development of an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the detection of IgG-antibodies to the causative agent of COVID-19 in human serum (plasma).

A new original Russian test kit for the detection of IgG-antibodies to the causative agent of COVID-19 - coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 by the method of enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) on a solid-phase «ELISA-SARS-CoV-2-AT-G» has been developed. In comparative tests with similar test systems «Vitrotest® SARS-CoV-2 IgG» (Vitrotest, Ukraine) and «Anti-SARS-Cov-2 ELISA (IgG)» (EUROIMMUN AG, Germany) high diagnostic efficiency of the new test system was shown.

Synthesis and investigation of the conversion reactions of pyrimidine-thiones with nucleophilic reagent and evaluation of their acetylcholinesterase, carbonic anhydrase inhibition, and antioxidant activities.

The conversion reactions of pyrimidine-thiones with nucleophilic reagent were studied during this scientific research. For this purpose, new compounds were synthesized by the interaction between 1,2-epoxy propane, 1,2-epoxy butane, and 4-chlor-1-butanol and pyrimidine-thiones. These pyrimidine-thiones derivatives (A-K) showed good inhibitory action against acetylcholinesterase (AChE), and human carbonic anhydrase (hCA) isoforms I and II.

[CHANGING OF STILLBIRTH RISKS IN DIFFERENT OPTIONS OF ITS REGISTRATION].

Purpose of the study - comparing of stillbirth rates and some of its risk factors in different options (after 22 and 28 completed weeks of gestation) of its registration. This study was conducted on the basis of a regional prenatal centre. Monitoring was conducted retrospectively with continuous coverage of all cases of completed pregnancy after 22 completed weeks of gestation.

Synthesis and bioactivity of several new hetaryl sulfonamides.

1-(4-Methylsulfonyl)-2-thione-4-aryl-5-Z-6-methyl and oxyalkyl-imidazoles were synthesized from different tetrahydropyrimidinethiones and aryl sulfonyl chloride. These compunds were tested for metal chelating effects and to determine the phrase in which inhibition occured between two physiologically pertinent compunds and carbonic anhydrase (CA) isozymes I and II (hCA I and II), butyrylcholinesterase (BChE) and acetylcholinesterase (AChE). AChE was detected in high concentrations in the brain and red blood cells.

[Regional experience of conducting registry of acute coronary syndrome].

Since 2008 Cardiological Dispensary of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug "Center of Diagnostics and Cardiovascular Surgery" has been participating in Rossiysky Registry of Acute Coronary Syndrome. In this paper we present some of the results on the use of percutaneous coronary interventions, time intervals, characterizing urgent medical aid to patients with acute coronary syndrome, rate of complications, and mortality.

[Acute coronary syndrome: regional experience of rendering urgent aid at prehospital stage in Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug--Yugra].

Aim of the study was assessment of efficacy of rendering urgent aid to patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) at prehospital stage on the territory of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug (KhMAO). The analysis showed that yearly about 5000 inhabitants of KhMAO-Yugra received prehospital medical care (30% because of acute myocardial infarction, 70% because of unstable angina). [The incidence of postoperative myocardial infarction and the left ventricular function in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus after recanalization of chronic coronary occlusions].

Aim: To study the effects of intracoronary administration of the ischemic preconditioning (IP) trigger adenosine on the reduced incidence of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI)-associated myocardial infarction (MI) and left ventricular (LV) systolic and contractile function in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) during recanalization of chronic coronary occlusions (CCO).

Subjects And Methods: The patients were divided into 4 groups: 1) 45 patients without DM who received intracoronary placebo infusion; 2) 51 patients without DM who had 10 mg intracoronary adenosine during PCI; 3) 34 patients with type 2 DM who had intracoronary adenosine during PCI; 4) 37 with type 2 DM who received intracoronary placebo. Troponin I and the MB fraction of creatine phosphokinase were measured an hour before and 18-24 hours and 5 days after PCI.

[The dynamic functional condition of the thyroid residual segment after surgical treatment of mononodular goiter].

The aim of this study was to assess the functional condition of thyroid remains after surgical treatment of mononodular goiter at different time points after operation. The trial has been conducted at Tbilisi N4 hospital. It was based on retrospective analysis of postoperative patients after mononodular goiter.

[Efficiency of diovan (valsartane) in arterial hypertension patients].

Diovan (valsartan) in dose 160 mg/day was given to 20 patients with mild and moderate arterial hypertension living in the Far North. The treatment was carried out during 4 weeks and its influence on circadian BP, lipid, carbohydrate and water-salt exchange was studied. Antihypertensive activity and tolerance to the medication were also analyzed.

[Prevention of dental fluorosis by glutamic acid].

The preventive effect of glutamic acid on the clinical manifestation of dental fluorosis was studied in rat experiments. Young rats receiving fluorinated (15 mg/liter) drinking water during 4-5 weeks developed depigmentation characteristic of dental fluorosis. No depigmentation was observed in rats receiving water with the same content of fluorine in parallel with glutamic acid (twice a week).

[The use of the ultrasonic spraying of interferon and larifan solutions for treating acute herpetic stomatitis in children].

Ultrasonic spraying of drug solutions was used in the treatment of 100 children suffering from acute herpetic stomatitis and its efficacy compared to that of common spraying of drugs in 100 children of the reference group. The results evidence that ultrasonic spraying accelerates cure by 2-3 days and is drug-saving. Interferon was found to be the most effective drug for acute herpetic stomatitis; larifan, used for the first time in the treatment of this condition, was inferior to it, though still effective enough.

[Biliary lithotripsy--a method of the treatment of cholelithiasis].

Crushing of stones in the gallbladder in a lithotriptor (Dornje MPL-9000 model) was tested in the clinic beginning from 1989. A total of 80 lithotripsies was conducted in 60 patients with radiotransparent+ stones measuring 25 mm on the average. Up to 3,000 pulsating-wave discharges were prescribed (a total of 2 sessions), which were generated by an underwater spark discharge.
