Article Synopsis
  • The study focused on three species of the genus Solanum found in Egypt, which are morphologically similar, prompting the need for alternative identification methods.
  • Researchers conducted anatomical, ecological, and molecular analyses, including DNA sequencing and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) to characterize these species.
  • Findings revealed variations in the anatomical features, molecular sequences, and chemical profiles of the species, with 38 compounds identified, aiding in their chemical identification.
