In order to predict the number of HSPCs cells necessary to achieve the target level of chimerism in an autologous setting, syngeneic male bone marrow (BM) cells were transplanted into 35 non-conditioned female BALB/c mice.

Reasons For Performing Study: The equine infectious anaemia virus (EIAV), which belongs to the Retroviridae family, infects equids almost worldwide. Every year, sporadic EIAV cases are detected in Slovenia.

Using a modified enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), in 209 out of 746 sera (28%) the levels of antibodies against rabies virus were higher than 0.5 IU/ml and deemed positive.
