Hence, to improve the serviceability of the reinforced concrete (RC) structures and meet the design requirements, the structures are strengthened using carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) composites. The application of CFRP is done using two major techniques, namely externally bonded (EB) reinforcement and near surface mounted (NSM) techniques.

The SnO/AgVO/g-CN photocatalyst was successfully produced by using the hydrothermal process. The structural characterizations of the samples revealed the successful formation of ternary heterostructures where SnO, AgVO and g-CN (quantum dots/nanoribbons/nanosheets) 0D/1D/2D structures make a good interface with each other.

In this context, zero-emission fuels are required for energy production to reduce the usage of fossil fuel resources. Here, we present the synthesis of Pd-Ag-decorated reduced graphene oxide (rGO) nanostructures using a green chemical approach with stevia extract for hydrogen production and antibacterial studies under light irradiation.

The electrochemical energy storage devices like supercapacitors and batteries, and their materials and fabrication methods have been extensively evaluated, which is the best solution for the energy crisis. Herein, zinc cobaltite (ZnCoO; ZCO) nanostructures grown on nickel (Ni) foam by microwave-assisted solvothermal fabrication for hybrid supercapacitors are reported.

According to World Health Organization, about 400 million are having diabetes worldwide and it is the seventh leading cause of deaths in 2016. Plant-based natural products have been in use from ancient times as ethnomedicine for the treatment of several diseases, including diabetes.

Semiconductor-mediated photocatalysis has been highlighted as the most attractive technology for the elimination of pollutants. In this connection, bandgap-tuned ultra-small SnO-nanoparticle-decorated 2D-BiWO nanoplates were prepared via the hydrothermal method.

The CO Concentration Mechanisms (CCMs) evolved in algae to counter the inefficient CO fixing enzyme, RuBisCo and slower diffusion of CO in water offers good scope for the above purpose. The CCMs are single-celled CO supply mechanisms that depend on multiple CO/HCO transporters and acclimation states and accumulate 100-fold more CO than low CO environments.

XRD confirms the formation of phase pure cubic Pd nanoparticles with the crystallite size range of 40-50 nm. The UV-vis spectrum reveals the formation of Pd nanoparticles by the disappeared peak at 480 nm of PdCl solution.

Similarly, Ayurveda, an ancient human health care management system in India and most of its information is available through palm-leaf manuscripts. Though each palm-leaf can persist for a fairly long time, it suffers gradual deterioration owing to physical, chemincal and biological factors, thus warranting digitiation.

However, the gradual degradation of their catalytic activity on multiple usage limits the monometallic nanoparticles to industrial applications. Herein, we fabricated the highly porous fenugreek polysaccharide assisted green synthesis of AuPd nanostructures for heterogeneous catalytic hydrogenation of the industrial usable highly toxic 4-nitrophenol to the medicinally useful 4-aminophenol.

Nevertheless, silver-based TCEs grieve from poor stability because of the corrosion and oxidation of silver in electrolytes. To overcome these issues, a RGO (reduced graphene oxide) layer on silver was promoted to resolve the difficulties of corrosion and oxidation in the electrolyte.

The ectopic overexpression of Dehydration-Responsive Element Binding transcription factors (DREBs) either in homologous or in heterologous plants improved stress tolerance indicating the DRE/DREB regulon is conserved across plants. We developed 30 transgenic T(0) rice plants overexpressing OsDREB2A which were devoid of any growth penalty or phenotypic abnormalities during stressed or non-stressed conditions.
