Background: We utilized patient samples from the large, phase 2b/3 SELECTION trial to identify circulating biomarkers of ulcerative colitis (UC) and potential early mediators of filgotinib treatment effects.
Methods: Samples were collected at baseline and during the induction phase of the SELECTION trial. Evaluated biomarkers comprised serum and stool proteins (measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay), whole-blood cell counts, and whole-blood RNA-seq-derived gene-expression factors identified via exploratory factor analysis.
This study outlines a method for preparing a complex involving glycoluril and melamine (GU-ME). The structure of the resultant complex was analyzed using IR and NMR spectroscopy. In the subsequent phase, the polymer GUMEFA was derived from the resultant complex, employing hydroxyethylidene diphosphonic acid (HEDP) as a sustainable plasticizer, with a proposed chemical mechanism for its formation.

SF workflows bypass the conventional simulation CT scan at the potential trade-off in dosimetric uncertainty. ART can alleviate many of these uncertainties, and this work extends previous experience with an Ethos adaptive cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT)-based SF process to treating a unique bony and soft tissue case with stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT).

This study evaluated the ability of extracellular matrix remodeling markers to diagnose fibrosis stage and predict PSC-related fibrosis progression and clinical events.
Methods: Liver histology and serum markers of collagen formation (propeptide of type III collagen [Pro-C3], propeptide of type IV collagen, propeptide of type V collagen), collagen degradation (type III collagen matrix metalloproteinase degradation product and type IV collagen matrix metalloproteinase degradation product), and fibrosis (enhanced liver fibrosis [ELF] score and its components [metalloproteinase-1, type III procollagen, hyaluronic acid]) were assessed in samples from baseline to week 96 in patients with PSC enrolled in a study evaluating simtuzumab (NCT01672853).
Due to traumatic injuries, including those from surgical procedures, adhesions occur in over 50% of cases, necessitating exclusive surgical intervention for treatment. However, preventive measures can be implemented during abdominal organ surgeries. By varying the reaction conditions and the catalysts, the obtained product yields ranged from satisfactory to good. The diastereomers formed during the reaction were separated by semipreparative HPLC on the C18 stationary phase.

Methods: The phase II EQUATOR (NCT03101670) trial evaluated the efficacy of FIL, a Janus kinase 1-preferential inhibitor, in patients with PsA. Peripheral protein and gene expression levels in association with clinical state at baseline and post-treatment were assessed in 121 patients using linear mixed effects models for repeated measures analyses.

Using EGSnrc Monte Carlo (MC) simulations, we investigate eye plaque dose distributions in water and in an anatomically representative eye phantom. Background: Magnetic resonance (MR)-guided radiation therapy provides capabilities to utilize high-resolution and real-time MR imaging before and during treatment, which is critical for adaptive radiotherapy. This emerging modality has been promptly adopted in the clinic settings in advance of adaptations to reference dosimetry formalism that are needed to account for the presence of strong magnetic fields. In particular, the influence of magnetic field on the uncertainty of parameters in the reference dosimetry equation needs to be determined in order to fully characterize the uncertainty budget for reference dosimetry in MR-guided radiation therapy systems.

Purpose: Adaptive radiation therapy (ART) on the integrated Elekta Unity magnetic resonance (MR)-linac requires routine quality assurance to verify delivery accuracy and system data transfer. In this work, our objective was to develop and validate a novel automated end-to-end test suite that verifies data transfer between multiple software platforms and quantifies the performance of multiple machine subcomponents critical to the ART process.
Methods: We designed and implemented a software tool to quantify the MR and megavoltage (MV) isocenter coincidence, treatment couch positioning consistency, isocenter shift accuracy for the adapted plan as well as the MLC and jaw position accuracy following the beam aperture adaptation.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the impact of intrafraction pelvic motion by comparing the adapted plan dose (APD) and the computed delivered dose of the day (DDOTD) for patients with prostate cancer (PCa) treated with SBRT on the MR-Linac.
Methods: Twenty patients with PCa treated with MR-guided adaptive SBRT were included. A 9-field IMRT distribution was adapted based on the anatomy of the day to deliver a total prescription dose of 3000 cGy in 5 fractions to the prostate plus a 5 mm isotropic margin.
Purpose: To determine if proton therapy reduces doses to cranial organs at risk (OARs) as compared to photon therapy in children with non-germinomatous germ cell tumors (NGGCT) receiving whole ventricular radiotherapy (WVRT).

Introduction: To compare the dosimetry of prostate stereotactic radiotherapy (SBRT) delivered by adaptive intensity modulated radiotherapy (A-IMRT) and 3 degree of freedom volumetric modulated arc therapy (3DOF-VMAT).
Methods & Materials: Twenty-five prostate patients treated with High Dose Rate (HDR) brachytherapy followed by SBRT were included (fifteen with hydrogel spacer in place for treatment). Interfraction changes in the volume of prostate, rectum and bladder were measured.
Background/aim: To estimate the prevalence of autoimmune atrophic gastritis (AAG) in the Russian Federation, a systematic screening of asymptomatic healthy adults by non-invasive biomarker testing was conducted. The aim was i) To test the validity of non-invasive serological screening for AAG; ii) to establish the prevalence of AAG among asymptomatic adults.

Compiling trial-level data from randomized controlled trials (RCTs) could help to develop a predictive framework to ascertain correlation trends between treatment effects for early and late endpoints.
