Bow Hunter's syndrome (BHS) is a very rare condition in which there is rotational vertebral artery (VA) insufficiency. The association of BHS with rotational atlantoaxial instability is extremely rare. We are reporting a case of pediatric BHS who presented with features of VA insufficiency on neck rotation.

Literature shows video laryngoscope (VLS) facilitating the intubation in these patients with cervical immobilization. VL3 VLS (HugeMed Medical Technical Development, Shenzhen, China) is a newer VLS with limited studies.

In the present investigation, plant extract fuelled combustion technique followed by calcination at 600 °C was adopted to prepare nanocrystalline CaFeO. The prepared nano compound was characterised using X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Ultra Violet (UV) spectroscopy, Infrared (IR) spectroscopy and its role was assessed for photocatalytic pollutant degradation along with bactericidal action in the concentration range of 1 μg/mL to 320 μg/mL.

Objective: The purpose of the current meta-analysis was to investigate if there is an association between DAZL polymorphisms and complete deletion of the DAZ cluster gene with male infertility.
Methods: Up until September 2022, a thorough search was conducted in the Pubmed and Google scholar databases.
This study examines the association of depressive and anxiety symptoms with diet quality among university students while controlling for different demographic and other health and lifestyle factors. This cross-sectional study was carried out between April 2021 and June 2021 among a total of 440 (unweighted) university students. Diet quality was assessed using a 10-item mini-dietary assessment index tool.

There is scarce data on the clinical presentation and epidemiology of MIS-C in India. In light of this, we conducted this study to describe clinical presentations and outcomes in children diagnosed with MIS-C.

Aim: The relationship between the Wnt pathway's response to radiation and its role in radiotoxicity is overlooked, even though it is a critical molecular control of the cell. The Wnt pathway has been predicted to have radioprotective properties in some reports, but the overall mechanism is unknown.
Nano-enabled sensing is an expanding interdisciplinary field of emerging science with dynamic multifunctional detecting capabilities, equipped with a wide range of multi-faceted nanomaterial having diverse dimensions and composition. They have proven to be highly robust, sensitive, and useful diagnostic tools ranging from advanced industrial processes to ordinary consumer products. As no single nanomaterial has proved to be unparalleled, recent years has witnessed a large number of nanomaterial-based sensing strategies for rapid detection and quantification of processes and substances with a high degree of reliability.

Aims: This study aimed to determine the accuracy of various anthropometric indices and lipid accumulation product (LAP), in assessing the risk of MetS in PCOS.

Assistive speech technology is a challenging task because of the impaired nature of dysarthric speech, such as breathy voice, strained speech, distorted vowels, and consonants. Learning compact and discriminative embeddings for dysarthric speech utterances is essential for impaired speech recognition. We propose a Histogram of States (HoS)-based approach that uses Deep Neural Network-Hidden Markov Model (DNN-HMM) to learn word lattice-based compact and discriminative embeddings.

Aims: Our goal here is to evaluate the correlation between biochemical markers with semen parameters, which might play a role in MI.
Study Setting And Design: We enlisted 100 infertile men as patients and 50 fertile men as controls to evaluate the sperm parameters and biochemical markers in ascertaining MI.

Background: Eating disorders (ED), once known to be a rarity are now commonplace all over the world. However, studies on ED in the Indian population are still very rare to come across.
Aim: We made an attempt to study the prevalence of ED in the student population of Mysore, South India.
Numerous studies on complications associated with eating disorders have been conducted worldwide. However such studies are limited in the Indian scenario. Hence, we attempted to analyse the presence of oxidative stress along with total lipid profiling of students with eating distress in Mysore, South India.

Lack of data is constraint when it comes to tracking the tribal population health status, specifically reproductive health aspects by experimental approaches. The male fertility impairment depends on Y chromosome azoospermia factor c (AZFc) subdeletions, which varies highly in different geographical populations and in an Indian admixed population the frequency and effect of deletion on fertility is relatively poorly documented.

Background: Recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL) is one of the most frustrating and difficult areas in reproductive medicine, because the aetiology is often unknown and there are few evidence-based diagnostic and treatment strategies. RPL diagnosis is mainly focused on the female partner. The male factor contributing in evaluation of RPL has been less investigated, it is restricted to karyotype and basic semen analysis, assessment of functionality of sperm is largely ignored.

Sperm nuclear chromatin decondensation is one of the important events that occur during fertilization. Abnormal spermatogenesis leads to improper protamine package and chromatin condensation.

Bitter-taste perception for phenylthiocarbamide (PTC) is a classically variable trait both within and between human populations. Many studies have reported that in world population, approximately 30% of them are PTC non-tasters and 70% are tasters.

Background And Objective: The objective of this study is to determine the status of acrosome intactness in different infertile conditions among men who have attended the Mediwave Fertility Research Center, Mysore, South India.
Materials And Methods: A total of 70 infertile and 20 control subjects were employed in the study. Infertile subjects were classified into different conditions according to the WHO protocol.
Background: Descriptions of the effects of moderate alcohol consumption during pregnancy on adverse pregnancy outcomes have been inconsistent.
Objective: To review systematically and perform meta-analyses on the effect of maternal alcohol exposure on the risk of low birthweight, preterm birth and small for gestational age (SGA).
Search Strategy: Using Medical Subject Headings, a literature search of MEDLINE, EMBASE, CINAHL, CABS, WHOlist, SIGLE, ETOH, and Web of Science between 1 January 1980 and 1 August 2009 was performed followed by manual searches.
Exploitation of hybrid vigour is quite possible in cross-pollinated crops. However, pigeonpea is a grain legume crop with a moderate level of cross-pollination (20-70%), which is mainly aided by insect pollinators. As a first step, hybrids based on genetic male sterility (GMS) were developed in pigeonpea, but the hybrid seed production technique is not farmer-friendly, because in the hybrid seed production plot 50% of the population, which are male-fertile in the female rows, have to be eliminated in time before contamination.

Background: Down syndrome (DS) and sex chromosomal aneuploidy (SA) are common chromosomal anomalies causing congenital malformations and mental retardation in humans. The well-established risk factor, advanced maternal age, was not found in many of the DS and SA cases in India, while the other possible risk factors have not been well studied. In view of this, the present study has been made.
