Material & Methods: This prospective observational study was conducted in the Departments of Medicine/Pulmonary Medicine/Medical Oncology and Microbiology at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi for a period of 2 years (January 2020-December 2021).
Purpose: To observe the spectroscopic profile of human lens in different age groups and varying grades of cataract and to use the data to arrive at differentiating molecular biology.
Design: An observational cross-sectional study.
Methods: The study enrolled 30 patients (30 eyes) with a mean age of 59.

The synthesized probes underwent characterization utilizing standard spectroscopic methodologies including FTIR, NMR (H and C), and mass spectrometry. Subsequently, the sensing capabilities of these probes were explored using UV-Vis and fluorescence spectroscopy, wherein their selective recognition potential was established for Pb(ii) and Cu(ii), both of which can pose serious health hazards when prevalent in the environment above permissible limits.
