Chromatin remodeling enzymes play a crucial role in the organization of chromatin, enabling both stability and plasticity of genome regulation. These enzymes use a Snf2-type ATPase motor to move nucleosomes, but how they translocate DNA around the histone octamer is unclear. Here we use cryo-EM to visualize the continuous motion of nucleosomal DNA induced by human chromatin remodeler SNF2H, an ISWI family member.

Targeted alpha therapy (TAT) using lead-212 (Pb-212)-labeled peptides presents an attractive option for the treatment of metastatic neuroendocrine tumors (NETs). As Pb-203 presents an accurate diagnostic surrogate to Pb-212, imaging with Pb-203-labelled peptides can be an important prerequisite to assess the feasibility of TAT with Pb-212-labelled agents. Here, we present the imaging data of a patient with metastatic NET with Pb-203 VMT-α-NET, a somatostatin receptor targeting agent, and demonstrate the matching distribution of Pb-203 VMT-α-NET with Ga-68 DOTANOC.

Purpose: αvβ6 integrin is exclusively expressed in epithelial cells and is upregulated in many carcinomas, such as pancreatic ductal adenocarcinomas (PDACs) and head and neck squamous cell carcinomas (H&NSCCs). Trivehexin is a recently synthesized trimerized αvβ6 integrin selective nonapeptide, which can be labeled with a positron emitter like 68 Ga. This is a pilot study to assess the potential role of 68 Ga-Trivehexin PET/CT in patients with H&NSCC and PDAC and their correlation with αvβ6 integrin expression by the tumor tissue on immunohistochemistry (IHC).

Estrogens are classically considered essential hormonal signals, but they exert profound effects in a number of physiological and pathological states, including glucose homeostasis and insulin resistance. Estrogen deficiency after menopause in most women leads to increased androgenicity and changes in body composition, and it is recommended to manipulate the β-cell function of the pancreas, insulin-induced glucose transport, and hepatic glucose output, hence, the increasing incidence of type 2 diabetes mellitus. Recently, studies have reported that gut biota alteration due to estrogen deficiency contributes to altered energy metabolism and, hence, accentuates the pathology of diabetes mellitus.

Manufacturing and formulation of stable, high purity, and high dose bacteriophage drug products (DPs) suitable for clinical usage would benefit from improved process monitoring and control of critical process parameters that affect product quality attributes. Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC) for both upstream (USP) and downstream processes (DSP) need mapping of critical process parameters (CPP) and linking these to critical quality attributes (CQA) to ensure quality and consistency of phage drug substance (DS) and DPs development. Single-use technologies are increasingly becoming the go-to manufacturing option with benefits both for phage bioprocess development at the engineering run research stage and for final manufacture of the phage DS.
