Cell-cultivated meat and seafood is getting closer to a reality for consumers in the US and around the world. However, regulators are still largely lagging behind on regulating production and labelling of these products. In a large experimental study using a representative US sample (N = 2653), we tested 9 different names for 3 different types of meat and seafood products in terms of their clarity, consumer appeal, and communication of safety and allergenicity.

In this article, we describe a case of neutrophilic dermatosis of the dorsal hands (NDDH) complicated with myelodysplastic syndrome and chronic active hepatitis C infection. NDDH was first suggested by Galaria et al in 2000. After comparing features of NDDH with Sweet syndrome in terms of encompassing clinical, laboratory, and histological characteristics, it can be concluded that "distributional or localized variant" of Sweet syndrome is classified as NDDH.

Methods: Nineteen patients who were treated by distal scaphoid resection arthroplasty from 1987 through 2010 were included. The mean follow-up was 15 years (range, 10-25 y) vs 4 years in the previous study.
A new surgical treatment for De Quervain's disease is presented, in which the anatomy and function of the first dorsal compartment is preserved. Our findings in 11 wrists in ten patients revealed complete relief of the pre-operative symptoms in all instances. The advantages of this technique are its ease, its restoration of normal anatomy, and the prevention of tendon prolapse.

All patients had a dorsal intercalated segment instability wrist collapse pattern with an average radiolunate angle of -32 degrees and a 10% reduction in the carpal height, both of which changed minimally during the follow-up period. The duration of the nonunion averaged 12 years and the follow-up period averaged 49 months.

The procedure is effective when open reduction and internal fixation are not feasible because of excessive comminution or delay in treatment. The procedure has been used up to 2 years postinjury if certain conditions are met.

This study presents a technique of ligament replacement utilizing a free tendon graft passed through two gouge tracks in the proximal phalanx and one in the metacarpal in a manner that closely approximates normal anatomy. We retrospectively reviewed 26 patients who underwent replacement.

In the English-language literature, limits cited for the distance a profundus tendon can be safely advanced vary from 0.75 to 2.

Seven were done within 6 weeks of injury, 17 at 6 weeks to 2 years following injury. Final ranges of motion averaged 95 degrees for the former and 78 degrees for the latter group.

This case report presents an unusual set of circumstances allowing a closed reduction to be performed. The metacarpal-phalangeal joint of the patients' little finger was reduced before the carpal-metacarpal joint, followed by placement of percutaneous Kirschner wires.
